Hi,new to the forum and looking for advice about trunk handles.I have a 46 plymouth special delux 4 door sedan.ARE THE TRUNK HANDLES THE SAME FROM A 2 DOOR MODEL {i know they look the same). Thanks for any help

I know that the tail light housings differ due to the change of the curvature of the different shaped trunk lids.

That being said, it appears to me that the recess in which the handle housings fit look the same.

I know this is not instant gratification but I will check the difference tomorrow between my 4 door handle and 2 door handle.

Welcome aboard!

PS I have a D-24, but mother mopar did not vary much in her manufacturing process they should be similar.

The entire unit with handle, light, etc should work just fine.

They used that same item on Plyms, Dodges, Chryslers for

several years. The actual handle should be the same as well.

Far as I know, all tail lights for 46-48 Plym are exactly the same also.

Some years had red reflectors, some had white.

Don't believe there was any different curvature in the fenders

where they mount.

I don't know what my tail lights came from.......but they fit on my

convert just fine. It has a trunk/rear end like the business coupe.

I'm sure they didn't come from either a convert or bus coupe.

Very true about the brake light, Frankie. As you probably know.....

each brake light is stamped in raised letters on the back side, either

"coupe" or "sedan". The sedans have flatter trunk lids.....more curvature on a coupe.
