Plymouthy Adams Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 I know the feeling...sometimes I think the Cirrus radio would be the way to go with the selction of music at your fingertip...I don't listen to music now to and from work for about 5 years or so..we lost our local oldies station...went country..we have about 30 country stations it seems..goes with the territory I guess...so not much of interest for me..of course at 6:35 I can get the local peanut report and cotton futures... Young Ed Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 I sure did. Thanks!! Haven't had time to check them for fit. They sure look good though. I successfully sniped something the other day too. Fun Fun Quote
Don Coatney Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 I drove over 700 miles yesterday with only my imagination and the radio to keep me comfy. My imagination was much better company than the radio. I found a couple of good stations but they only last 75 miles or so. New country music is everywhere. I like old country music better than new country music although classic rock is my favorite. I even checked out the AM bands. Mostly politically oriented talk show crap. Fortunately I found some good stuff using my imagination. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 I last listened to country music about 1976/77 era...it started slipping in my book...went back to the oldies, little alternative now and then...no rap..county...blues..sucking on a bar of soap keeping Ralphie company sounds better...that way when I go blind..boy will they be sorry... WatchingWolf Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 One of the gut bomb joints is selling a spicy hot burger. Makes sense that they would be getting spicy tacos or fury (extremely HOT) burgers. A&W or Dairy Queen I think. Quote
greg g Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 Just find the NPR all day talk radio, hardly biased reporting and indepth coverage of current issues, Oh yea and Theater of the Mind at night, old time radio dramas and comedies. Listened to a remastered version of the original broadcast of the MERCURY THEATER presentation of Orson Welle's War of the Worlds. Good stuff. Actual use of language to portray ideas and concepts, and characters. When we travel long distance we usually load up on books on tape (or CD) Quote
