Norm the cars on the lots do get things wrong with them. The used car dealers call it lot rot. Must happen fairly often if they have a term for it.

I agree with that Ed. Grandpa let my P-15 sit for about 10 years. He drove it occasionally to about 3 car shows a year. None over 30-40 miles away. One was even in his hometown. Got eventually where things started going wrong and it was a hassle to even get it out of the garage.

All cars need to be driven at least once a week. Winter is hard on them, but sometimes you can't get them out due to the weather. I at least try to get it started and run once a week during those months.

Carburetors go bad, fuel goes bad in the cars, tires dry rot on the concrete, weather takes it's tool on the wiring, and lots of other things. Once I got to where I drive my car somewhere once a week or every other week, maintenance has gotten easier and there is not as much to fix.
