  1. hello all, I have a 1933 Dodge DP 6 with a 1953 Dodge 230ci engine, the stock transmission in the vehicle is a 3 speed with no-syncro's and not very good shifting sounds. it either must be rebuilt or will be replaced with a new updated transmission. I am not familiar with what to do in this scenario. is there anyone who can help me find the correct transmission adapter plate and transmission to go with? I have been told to go with a t5 transmission and an adapter plate, but am not sure where I can find these items. I would like to keep the flat head 6 but due to the irritating time trying to find the correct parts that will bolt onto the engine, I am considering full tear down of drive train and install a new mopar v8 setup. but would rather stick with flathead just cant find the correct parts to go with. all help is appreciated. (sorry if this has been asked, I could not find anything relating to this topic)

  4. My Chrysler needed new u-joints. I has the cross type with wings to bolt the cap to the transmission/rear yoke. After I found out that the going rate was $100 each, I decided there must be a better/cheaper way to do it. After I searched for quite a while, I gave up and decided to pay the money. That's when I found out that there are no more of them to be had. So I went back to my update project. This is what I came up with:
  5. here's a few questions for the modified guys. maybe we can all join in here and post ideas and questions. i've got a 48 p-15 business coupe. any good ideas for a modern radio install, as hidden as possible? under floor modern master cyl, for brake and clutch? non power assist in my case. electric wipers, how about an electric vacuum pump for the stock wiper motor? any thoughts, suggestions? PICTURES? any other questions to add?
  6. I went ahead and bit the bullet and bought a fluid drive seal kit from AB. $225! Glad I got the p15 discount. All I got was the carbon seal ring that goes underneath the screw-in housing type seal that my 50 has. The picture in the catalog and online shows the whole housing seal and everything... $225. Oh well, I'm over that now. I fished out the old carbon seal, and compared the two. Identical to the naked eye. So I carefully dropped it in, and when I screw the housing back on(no oil in the FD, just a test fit) the output shaft won't spin. Do I need to soak it in the tractor fluid I bought to refill with? How does it center itself in there? Am I missing something? Bob, please come to the rescue!
