  1. My fuel pump went out. I have a nice gear driven electric pump from fifth avenue garage. What is the advantage and disadvantages of electric fuel pump to a mechanical one.
  2. I will be mounting a electric fuel pump as part of my 12V conversion, mostly because after I added Fenton-type cast iron headers they are extremely close to the mechanical pump and fuel lines. Anyone out there have any experience with electric fuel pumps on one of our trucks? I'm looking at one from Car Quest that pumps at 4-7 lbs. I'll be running a Stromberg two barrel on a factory manifold, 230 bored 60 over with a mild cam. Should be OK, right?
  3. i have a 1953 b4b with a p25 engine. I need a fuel pump but I am not sure what car this motor is for or what the pump should look like. or where to get it. can anyone help? anything would be appreciated.
  4. I don't understand the mechanics of the oil pump. '51 dodge B3..218 engine. I have to fix a leak at the oil pump cover plate. So when I took the cover plate off, the outer rotor fell out. I see there is a slot grooved in the outside of the outer rotor, like a woodruff key might fit in there, but can't see inside the pump where it would engage with another slot. Does the outer rotor spin as the inner is spun with the camshaft? Or is the outer supposed to be fixed with the woodruff key and the inner spins inside it? I am so new to this thing. I don't understand the mechanics of it.
  5. Anybody have a part number or source for the correct fuel filter? Mine has the filter bowl as part of the pump (see pic). The filter pictured in here has since fallen apart. None of the stores around here can get me a filter that fits right. Thanks much! - JT.
