  1. i thought i would share my latest project on my truck. i needed a blower motor for my heater. after looking and trying to order the right one with no luck, i bought a fan that mounts on the dash and plugs into a power point.after modifying the blades and cutting the shaft off i put it in the housing ans slid in the core. by the way i took the base off the fan first. now i have a 12 volt 2 speed fan. just thought i would share this so if someone else had this problem it may help.
  2. merry christmas to all.thanks for all the information and the good reading on this site. hope everyone has the very best christmas this year.
  3. I hope im posting this question in the right place,if not then I apologise.I put a 727 transmission in my 1950 dodge and im having a problem with the speedo cable.i ordered a new one from advance but its wrong, the one I ordered has female ends on both ends.my trans had a short piece of the old cable on it about 6 inches.someone had just cut it when they took it out.the one I took out had a bracket holding it in with a half inch bolt holding it on.Once I pryed it out of the transmission I found 2 hairpin type clips one holding the cable in place and one holding the gear on.i did a little research and found one for a 904 that looks just like it.But its only 40 inches long wont work.i would like to put a fitting in it so I could screw on a adapter and go with an electric speedo from glowshift.sorry for writing a novel.hope some dodge guru can help out.thanks for your help.
  4. just wondering if anyone has found a cover that would fit a piolithouse truck good? no one seems to make one just for these trucks.
  5. that's a good looking one frank I was also looking at the one on the tailgates of the new dodges.just cant picture how to locate it on my truck. iwas hoping someone else had done this or something like it
  6. yep I see it now reg theres no mistaking that ram thanks for the picture .
  7. The hood ornimant on the hood of the piolit house trucks is a ram correct? That's what it looks like to me anyway I may be wrong. if I am right, has anyone added any modern emblems or stickers to their truck? I myself like the ram on the bighorn dodges. just cant figure out where to put it where it would look best.i don't mean to offend anyone I know some folks are diehard truck people and want original only. I was curious what folks had added to their trucks.
  8. I would love to find that truck under my Christmas tree. even if the tree is turned sideways. lol merry Christmas to you and to everyone.
  9. thanks for the video that helps a lot. now I can get it on the truck.thank u very much and merry Christmas to you.and to everyone on this site.
  10. well here I am again to ask another dumb question. I ordered my weather stripping for my doors.i saw some pics of the correct way it installed when I ordered it a few days ago, but I cant find that thread again.looks like it could be installed two ways. I assume the cab weatherstrip gets glued on two sides.it has a long lip and a short lip which goes where? pictures would be a great help. thanks for any help.
  11. wow that's a lot of good info thanks brent. I am not goin back with vent windows .going full windows. I wish someone sold a kit with all this stuff in it.
  12. I am getting ready to order my door glass and gaskets. looks like I need the gaskets for doors, window channel ,window sweep, that lollipop gasket for the bottom of door,5 clips for each door, and something called sash filler.is that all I will need? I have read many many threads on this but it is still not real clear to me. my truck had all this stuff missing when I got it so I have nothing to go by.do those clips hold the window channel in? I want to get all the info I can so I wont be at the mercy of the company I buy this stuff from. settle don't list all this stuff online but they must have it.will have to call them.seems like those who bought it from them are happy with their stuff.any info on this would be greatly appreciated .
  13. Thanks for the info mine does have a bumper under the hood on one side. should it be on the radiator support? I will check and see if I can find them, now that I know what im looking for.i have the lace on the cowl for the back of the hood.
  14. Question about hood bumpers for my 1950 piolithouse truck. I have searched the treads with no luck.ive seen the bumpers that plug into holes in the bottom of the hood, but my hood dont have holes in it.just wondering what you guys used. I don't want to scratch my fenders or hood. any help or suggestions would be appreciated,
