Well we are a week and a couple of days for the first cruise of the year in Lebanon. Anyone going or thinking about going? It's next Saturday night May 2. I know Mark is going to a cruise on Friday night in Sunset Hills, I hope to meet up with you Mark sometime, could be on one of those Friday night cruise nights once work slows down a bit. Looks like Jim is going to Florissant. I hope to meet all you guys at some point this summer. Will have to keep an eye on the calendar.

From what I hear this car is staying as is. Looks like it will need a little bit of rust repair, but the shop is going to do as little paint work as possible to preserve the original paint. Looks like it needs a good polishing job and it should be good to go.

I remember seeing this posted a while back. I think the auction for that car was just relisted. Not sure what custom means. Maybe he's thinking of the chevrolets. It's only Deluxe or Special Deluxe in the Mopar world.

Not sure where the "Bel-Air" came from. That sunvisor has been on that car since before I was born. My grandfather bought it from someone at a swap meet and as it was blue it pretty much matched the car. Never had any problems with it and it sure helps in the rain and keeps the sun out of your face.

I just used little polish on it and cleaned it up a bit. Then just bolted it right in.

Ouch Don. I hate wasps, the wife is scared to death of them. When I first started reading that I thought you were going to say a bird hit you. I was cruising along last summer and a bird hit my vent window. That was a good wake up call. Didn't hurt it, but scared the heck out of me.

Well I wanted to do a few different things to my Plymouth before summer gets here. I never really liked the look of my rectangular mirror and it was starting to get small pits on it. So I went ahead and bought two round mirrors and put them on. Made the car look a bit more classic to me. I liked the round mirror look of some of the other forum members cars. A big thanks to Bigred48 as I had a radio I traded him for just the head of another radio. I didn't have room to put an entire radio in mine, but wanted the look of one, so my dash looks a little more complete. I really like the look of it and I still have plenty of room behind the dash. The current owner bought the car 15 years ago. So he has had it a while. I didn't ask how many miles were on it when he bought it.

I was out today running around as usual for work and one of the shops I go to knew I like old mopars. They showed me a '55 Plymouth. This one is all original and only has 18,000 miles on it. V8 powered with the original paint job. Apparently the owner wanted to see if he should paint it and the shop manager talked him out of it, being the original paint and all. Some minor rust spots, but otherwise in great condition. The current owner bought it from an older couple that kept it garaged all its life. Driven only on the weekends and in nice weather only. Pretty neat old car. I don't know as much about this model year, but I figured some of you other guys might get a kick out of it.

I guess I agree with Blueskies and Norm. I think when the time comes that I need a new master cylinder I'm getting an ECI kit. I just switched my old truck over from a single pot m/c to a dual m/c. It's nice to know that if I have two seperate lines for brakes and that if one of the lines fail they won't all fail. I know it is a modification, but some mods just make sense. Plus it will be below the floorboard and no one will ever see it.

Nice view there Dennis. Looks like it will be good weather too. Car shows don't start around here until the first of May. That picture kind of gets my cabin fever going. Got out and washed the old truck this evening, that helps a bit, but I'm ready to hit the cruise nights. That show looks like a lot of fun, have a good time Dennis.

Wow, and there is a bid for $9k already. Not too bad of a looking car, but not sure if I'd fork over 9 grand for it.

I switched mine as others have had good luck with it. It is more reliable in my opinion and it took care of my vibration problems. Plus if I'm on the road and something happens to the driveshaft I can find parts readily available anywhere. Hard to do with the old type.

Glad you got it fixed Dean. Those fuel gauges are very finicky. They have to be just right to work right. Not sure why it was reading backwards, that is odd. Condenser going out is a bit odd too, oh well all's well that ends well.

Looks like a nice car. Always fun to drive home a car you just bought. Especially if it's an old car.

Looks like some nice cars and trucks up there Jim. I've never been to that show, but always wanted to go. I know it was a bit cold out there yesterday. Maybe one Easter I can skip the family stuff and head out there. Thanks for the pics.

In that pic of Jim's above it shows the entrenched area per say where the small rubber pieces go. They just fit snug in those grooves and seal.
