  1. Anyone interested in me doing a start to finish build write up on this car when I'm done?
  2. Rear end is in, got a 8.8 out of a 2001 explorer, just had to move the spring perches out a bit, no need to even cut off the old ones unless you want it perfect http://s1268.photobucket.com/user/vethd32/media/IMG_20170414_112110477_zpse79s6ckj.jpg.html?filters[user]=144930205&filters[recent]=1&sort=1&o=3
  3. Well the interior is at least done for the cruise, the dash will be coming back apart after and I'll be redoing the stainless the fit everything right so don't be to hard on me haha here's a before and after on the interior http://s1268.photobucket.com/user/vethd32/media/IMG_20170412_042559_zpsbgyqx7bl.jpg.html?filters[user]=144930205&filters[recent]=1&sort=1&o=1 http://s1268.photobucket.com/user/vethd32/media/IMG_20170411_231337180_zps8lzmvnp3.jpg.html?filters[user]=144930205&filters[recent]=1&sort=1&o=0
  4. Front brakes are done just gotta run lines. Went with 2001 Ford explorer calipers and rotors, cut the plates on a CNC http://s1268.photobucket.com/user/vethd32/media/IMG_20170419_190132401_zpswj2xkbi4.jpg.html?filters[user]=144930205&filters[recent]=1&sort=1&o=6 http://s1268.photobucket.com/user/vethd32/media/IMG_20170419_190121931_zpskxqug83e.jpg.html?filters[user]=144930205&filters[recent]=1&sort=1&o=5 http://s1268.photobucket.com/user/vethd32/media/IMG_20170417_083135240_zpskujzhuqi.jpg.html?filters[user]=144930205&filters[recent]=1&sort=1&o=4
  5. Interior is about done, for the cruise at least, motor is going in tomorrow. For anyone looking for easy wheel studs, I went with "Carry on" 522t trailer studs drilled threaded holes out to 1/2" and hammered them in.
  6. Well here's the progress, gotta tidy up the wiring. Trans tunnel is supposed to be done tomorrow (have a buddy fabing it) rear axle is waiting on leaf spring bushings to find it's home. We're moving forward!! http://s1268.photobucket.com/user/vethd32/media/IMG_20170404_204543418_zpskx03flm1.jpg.html?sort=1&o=2 http://s1268.photobucket.com/user/vethd32/media/IMG_20170404_204559774_zpsvn1l7nga.jpg.html?sort=1&o=1 http://s1268.photobucket.com/user/vethd32/media/IMG_20170404_204621038_zpsdeau9nml.jpg.html?sort=1&o=0
  7. So far so hectic, waiting on the new trans tunnel to be finished. http://s1268.photobucket.com/user/vethd32/media/IMG_20170330_154411285_zps2tqu5iib.jpg.html?filters[user]=144930205&filters[recent]=1&sort=1&o=0 http://s1268.photobucket.com/user/vethd32/media/IMG_20170403_003850217_zpswoxpbuxr.jpg.html?filters[user]=144930205&filters[recent]=1&sort=1&o=3
  8. After a long night, got all the wiring in place, pics to come tomorrow!!
  9. No need to worry about the electrical seeing how I pulled the entire wiring harness from the 08 charger including gauges, body harness, all the way from headlights to taillights!!! I should have clarified when I said 1 month, I have 1 month to get it running and driving for a parade then plan to go into a full tear down!!
  10. Well the time is now, this 47 Plymouth business coupe SD has stalled for a year, but only for good reason. the original plan was a mild build with a 318 Magnum. But i was able to get my hands on an entire 08 Charger R/T, that's getting turned into a drag runner. Yup that means the 5.7 Hemi, trans, interior, steering column, gauges, seats, and entire electrical system is being installed in the the Plymouth. AND ONLY ABOUT A MONTH TO FINISH!!! Engine: 5.7 Hemi Trans: 5 speed Tiptronic Steering: 89 Chevy caviler Rear end: 01 ford explorer (DSK Brake typ) http://s1268.photobucket.com/user/vethd32/media/IMG_20170326_192443944_zps2oqtkxxj.jpg.html?filters[user]=144930205&filters[recent]=1&sort=1&o=1 http://s1268.photobucket.com/user/vethd32/media/IMG_20170325_112957080_zps742lbbze.jpg.html?filters[user]=144930205&filters[recent]=1&sort=1&o=3 http://s1268.photobucket.com/user/vethd32/media/IMG_20160709_241347219 1_zpsunomkp06.jpg.html?filters[user]=144930205&filters[recent]=1&sort=1&o=4 Ill try to keep this feed updated as best i can!

  12. I keep trying to upload but it said they're too big
  13. Hey guys! New to the forums!! Picked up a 47 Plymouth Business coupe from a friend a couple weeks ago as a bare shell, no motor/trans, no interior what so ever, and no title, go figure haha. Thankfully all the glass was there and good. So in addition I picked up a 1994 Jeep grand Cherokee. Was able to steal the 318 out of it with harness and ECU, gas tank and fuel pump which was perfect, The seats which fit great with little mods, both brake and gas pedal assembly with brake booster which all is going to fit perfect, and shifter assembly which will work. I also picked up a steering column from a early 90's Nissan frontier which was literally direct fit (I MEAN DIRECT FIT)and is going to match perfect with the cavalier steering rack I picked up. Next week I'll be picking up a rear end from a 98 explorer with disk and throwing that in. I also found a nice forum that explained a way to make the front caliper and rotor from the same explorer work with the original front hub on the Plymouth for my front disk conversion with the obvious need to fabricate a fairly simple but pecise bracket As far as wiring, well the magnums are pretty much standalone and just require my 12v and ignition along with the fuel pump which will just be on a separate power switch. I'll be getting a 2wd tranny out of a early 90s dakota and hoping that works well. Driveline.... Well thats beyond me Will be lowing the front and rear the old fashioned way.... For now... Well that's all I got so far Like I said, I'm new here and new to building cars in general so any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
