  1. Robert, does the term Alberta clipper have to do with a ship or a weather condition?
  2. Hope that darn cat didn't find a warm engine to nap on, vvrrttt, reoow! Never had the cat in the fan but have heard plenty of stories.
  3. Cows are tough, but dang you gotta feel for them. When I was but a lad we had a bad storm in Lake City, Ia. Sleet snow mixed with driving winds caused some of our cattle to wander looking for protection, went right through the fence in the opposite direction of the lean-to. Their eye lashes were frozen shut and were blindly seeking cover. The railroad is only a 1/2 mile from the pasture, 6 steers were hit by a train that night out of 15. Needless to say it was my job to round them up after that. Doggone cows enaway!
  4. Norm woudn't it be more fun to scrape the pan than to recycle it?
  5. What channel? I would like to see that one, it's always interesting to see and hear other opinions.
  6. I feel like the commercial, did you also know...and then the lady gets tackled by the jealous wife. It's like the picture of the bumper guards reached out and tripped me, I had to look at the front bumper just to see if mine had them, the 3 indents. Whaddaya know the back bumpers have them also, man it's cold out there!
  7. Found a couple of pictures on the net of 47 CC's. The military maroon one is what mine looked like when new...sigh:cool: The black one has the 3 horizontal bumper guard indents painted red, factory or owner applied? maroon coupe 2 large 2 post.
  8. Bank deposits, $10,000 went to $8,000 lowered to $5,000, seems like the IRS has lost it's trust in the taxpayers. Next thing is everytime you make a payroll deposit...groan.
  9. midland with stock drums circa 1947.
  10. That sounds good, what about same MC unit stock drums, compatible?
  11. 1. Can you run a power MC in stock position? 2. Where to tap into vaccum?
  12. How about residual valves in the rear lines and a single pot MC ? Some people swear by em, some at em! What is your Op. Marty?
  13. Now those are my kind of holy rollers!
  14. Disc brakes work just fine with single chamber MC.
  15. I agree Don and mine is on its way! Thanks. PS. How far back to achieve archive status.....
  16. I see 3 more guests viewing the archives, as a member it would be nice to know how that is accomplished. Anyone?
  17. $29.99, for TRUCKS GONE WILD!
  18. Always remember when drilling steel, LOW rpms, cutting oil, then you can let the drill do the work it is supposed to.
  19. Thanks pal, thought there would be a job-rated answer out there! They didn't worry too much about cosmetics back then just a good, practical work truck, so it makes sense.
  20. I was checking to see whose online:eek: and lo and behold a guest was viewing d-24 rewire thread in the archives. I have never been able to access them, it just says to buy the dvd for a forum donation and redirects back to the forum. How do you get there from here?
  21. Norm, www.cars&parts.com, it looks good check it out.
  22. Scarlet & Cream...HHMMMM...Go HUSKERS! Red lettering and alternating stripes with big red's uniform colors. Paint the lines cream{background} and pencil in your red, bet no one else has it! You'll still have your chrome surround.
  23. I just read Paul's hubcap thread and saw a small portion of a red fender on a truck owned by Dennis MN. My question to the forum is, The exposed fastener on the fender connects to the running board? Why would dodge choose this method, it is a good looking truck, such a poorly executed connection detracts from it's looks. No offense meant, just curious.
  24. Unfortunately there are no "old" yards here, just 80's and up. Don't know how far away from Omaha I need to go or what direction...BUT that's the fun part. Saturday drives on RR1 or RR2 eating dust to find treasures and some times treasure yards! :D
  25. My passenger side window has cracks, bought the replacement pane, how difficult is the removal process? D-24CC. I have my service manual, so the procedure is understood, what tricks of the trade are there that the manual doesn't state?
