  1. Yah, I can see that one fine. Pic of Angelina Jolie nekked, right?
  2. I can't view it either. Red X, and same when I click the link.
  3. That's a different approach for sure Marty. Mine came out in two pieces, it was quite a job to get it out, even with my engine out of the car on a stand. The difference in operating temp is like night and day. Well worth the effort.
  4. I've wanted a nice 41 coupe since I was a little kid.
  5. Looks like a 41, one of my top three list. What a cryin' shame, they are parting it out like that. If I could have a 41 coupe, and painted like AnthonyB's car in profiles, I'd couldn't ask for more.
  6. Wow Harvey, that body work is looking good.
  7. I'll bet you won't fall asleep at the wheel with the zebra, LOL. That's the great thing about car nuts, it's all about what pleases you, not what anyone else thinks. Actually I think it's neat. I like those Wayfarer lines too. You found yourself a gem.
  8. Maybe the forum filters thought they caught a bad word in your post and it kicked out. Did you use the word F*rd?
  9. Those hardtops sure look good. Looks like a bit of work needed but I've seen worse. It's a shame that it was stored with the windows down though.
  10. Tim, I'll send you a PM, let me know if you receive it, OK?
  11. Hey Bob, I sent you an email (not a PM) thru the forum but it doesn't show up in my sent messages. Let me know if you get it. Anyone having problems with the PM feature? I sent one out to Rob Smith a few days ago but he didn't get it.
  12. Seems like Robert Smith on this forum had one fabricated recently, in Southern California. Usually you can find driveshaft shops in the yellow pages, or you could stop at a local cruise night and ask around. The street rodders should know of some shops.
  13. Thanks Pete, I noticed that place on your website. I plan on buying through them once I know what I'll be needing. I really like the OD on the highway, I can run 70 or more no sweat. For now the straight 3 speed will work. I can tow my teardrop fine, never used the OD while towing anyway. And around town 3 speeds is fine. It will be nice to freshen it up and have no more leaks. My rear seal has been dripping. The emergency brake was pretty oily.
  14. Welcome to the forum. It must be a challenge to find parts and services for an old Mopar in Norway. Let's see, now we have members from Norway, Netherlands, Great Britain, Curacao, Canada, Mexico....wow!
  15. It was one of those jobs where everything went right, knock on wood. Less than an hour to raise the car and drain and remove the old OD tranny. Then the replacement slipped in just like it should. My little Harbor Freight tranny jack was a big help and just about the right height for working under a car up on jackstands. I think the install went better than last time because the clutch disk was all lined up perfectly from my old tranny. My 53 doesn't have that troublesome upper bolt, all four are reachable with a 5/8" socket and extensions. I took the side cover off my old trans and I can see 1 1/2 teeth busted off the reverse slider. That would be the knocking noise in reverse. The plan is to do a complete rebuild on that trans and on the overdrive, then reinstall. Meanwhile the 3 speed I swapped in allows me to keep it on the road until the OD is done. Life is good!
  16. I didn' t think my motor had one. Then I did a thorough examination of the whole setup, and... yup, I was right.
  17. Black over maroon sounds like a good combo. Here's a thumbnail of my friend's 53 in Florida. I hope to see it in person this spring.
  18. Not a P15 quirk, but on a Bronco forum a while back it was noted that if you reversed the heater connections at the firewall you could get some gurgling noises in the heater core.
  19. If they are worth that much, I need to take up a different hobby.
  20. Rob, I re-sent as a regular email. I have a used genny that we could bolt in, it's an easy job. More in the email. What your mechanic is telling you just isn't sounding right. These things last a long time, he ought to know that.
  21. Gary, I thought those ones made from the flourescent diffusers looked pretty good at least until the original lenses could be located.
  22. Neat stuff. I couldn't view at home (dial up) but it was fun to watch this morning at work on a fast connection. Song is by Monty Python, I believe.
  23. Rodney, if your car is wired similar to my 53, everything including the starter solenoid runs through the ammeter. Mine was doing something similar and I found that while working under the dash, I had pushed some wires around and loosened one of the main wires at the ammeter. It sometimes acted like a totally dead battery, would not even click. I found the loose wire and that cured it permanently.
