  2. Yes it is the American 218 but is the ide to build the 218 or should I invest in a 230. I have got hold of a crankshaft 218,
  3. Hi Thanks for help/information, but Is there any idea to make it as 218 engine?
  4. but what is the difference between a motor 217? or 218? or is it just a matter of definition = same engine excuse, a not know
  5. Andydodge The engine was out of mind in the early 1960 's. and would change the comb and submit the block on honing to get it in good condition, on reached strangely disappeared, crankshaft and connecting rods and the engine has just been standing since then until I got a hold of it here in Sweden.
  6. The length is 23 "and 3 1/4 bore Engine. but is 218 or 230? and I would like to know some data on it, block almost no torn, a bit of surface rust so it needs a drilling. I got a hold of the engine and they came with new pistons and cam bearings, water distribution pipes, oil pump, gaskets, all yes everything except the crankshaft and connecting rods, so it seems a shame not to prepare the engine
  7. The only thing I got is that it is an export ., nothing more, or if it is a 218 or 230. or? I have got hold of a in excellent condition Engine No. SP15 * 848292 * in a De Soto -48, But the crankshaft and connecting rods are gone, Can these parts to get hold of, was, give me a note. anyone here perhaps, which would send to Sweden? Give me a note. would be nice with a 230 crankshaft and connecting rods. so I get up the engine. .
  8. interesting will be watching this,, I get hold of a spitfire engine 251 ( 25 ") which I'm about to check through,,
  9. Hi I had problems with my ball, ball Carburetors.. I made a custom adapter plate and so I assembled a weber dcd 36/36, equipped it with drilling nozzles, had to solder again a few times but it works really well, good idle and Nice at all turns.
