Day 19. Getting along fine but have had to learn how to manage pain with ice.
"hot and icy". I will be brief! I noted to my surgeon and three PT's a very, very painful band around the sides and underside just above the incision. Doc and two PT's stated that, damage was not limited to the incision track. The 3rd PT explained that to hold the leg motionless and shut off all down arteries a giant CLA M P was put to use and that clamped area healed slowly. NO KIDDiNG. So last night at midnight I did a deep massage of that pain, then even more deeply redid that massage and added Hot and ICY for lubrication. I have completed this the second time, and will continue again at sun up!! The pain has already let up by 5 or 10 percent. Just the application of locker room 101 at work. It is horrifying to realize that my age group will take to our coffins or urns the magic of applied medicine and our grandkids will suffer under the results of Omama medical theory and under the control of pain by Lobb and Lamb! Thanks to Shak, now I'm beginning to smile also!!

Sorry to read about this Paul. How did you hurt the knee? I've been working on my boat 24/7/365 it seems and don't get online so much since retirement.I damaged my left knee 2001, in a tragic boat painting accident. (yep, same boat I still work on) and it's never been 100% since, though I rarely have to wear the knee brace, unless skating.
