... I'd really like to see how the inside looks ...
Here's the nickle tour ...

Merle: It never shut off. Just is reasonably quiet when at idle. Problem I have is the middle circuit in the carb, so it's either a quiet idle or drive it like you stole it!!!
ggdad1951: Only found the lever for the cowl today. Don't have those fancy window vents you rich folk gots.
Jeff: Thanks, plan on it! Althoug, my budget will be a lot smaller. When I get to the point where I'm doing 40 mile trips, we need to get a pastrami sandwich again.
Ralph: So did my daughter! She is so excited, she practically washed it herself today.

... So the kit is yours if you want it.
Thanks Jeff. Turns out the real problem was the pickup tube inside the tank. When they cleaned and lined it last time the didn't check it. All fixed now after a second trip to the radiator shop. Reinstalled and now it is running like a champ with stock parts.
Color me very happy!

Will do William. Thanks for the idea.

Lovely journey that. Thanks.
I would also add a read of Gary Zukav's "The Dancing Wu Li Masters". It is on its face about Quantum Physics, but the whole approach is more meta - attempting to answer the question of the role of the sub-conscious and a the more zen-like approach to doing things.
Until then - Flow like water - as Bruce Lee used to say.

Good point Paul. Look out Tim, I'm coming for them in April!

Thanks guys. I guess it's a lot like life. Long term plans need to be visions, not the details you want them to be. Working hard toward that vision puts you in a position to react to any opportunities that arise.
It's certainly not a Gas Monkey Garage build. Two weeks. LOL.

You're a part hoarder. Don't try to sugar coat it.
Here is the something I would ask you to put into your formula. It's not just a sale you make every time you do what you do with these trucks. Its a relationship built. The creation of trust that wasn't there before. The spark that inspires countless others. An infectious passion that keeps people going. The saving of heritage and history. Dealers and eBay wolves don't have any of that.
Oh, and our price for the springs is firm right?

... I am busy doing the same exercise. ...
A comrade! Fantastic.

Finished the bed - at least for this round. Should be enough to protect it from the elements now until we can get to making a proper job of it. I already have visions of new boards, properly sized pieces, guides, something sturdier than pine ...
Now on to the frame so that I have somewhere to put it!-

I used to work with a guy who was actually on a reality show. Not the same one, but from the area here. He told me quite frankly,"There is no reality on reality shows".
I just watch them because they're funny. Besides, no one could run a business if they gave away all their tactics and strategies to millions of potential customers each week.
The destination doesn't tell you how the road winds

You gotta come to the BBQ in April!
