  1. Hello Everyone, Aside from commenting on a few posts, I'm relatively new to the forum, and I apologize in advance if this is not the venue to sell things. With that in mind, I have a complete set of the Interior Window Trim and Dash pieces that have been repainted in wood grain, and they look amazing, and I don't need them. I will post pictures later, but I thought I'd drop a line out there and see just how many of us restoring the old D24's and other models are in need of this kind of job. An elderly gentlemen I know near Onsted, MI strips down, repairs where needed, then repaints by hand, in a multi step process, the wood grain appearance of the inside Window Trim and Dash. Right now, I have a 46-48 4 door Sedan set that I am trying to sell. This is for the Suicide doors, not the Town Sedan. It includes the rear window trim, the rear flip out window trim with glass, rear suicide door window trim, front door window trim, Windshield trim, Rear view mirror and rear view mirror bracket, Dash, Glove box door, and two smaller pieces that go on the side of the dash. I also have the chrome dash pieces, if interested. If you have a 2dr coupe or even a totally different make/model, Edd can still repaint them for you, you just need to get in touch with me or him. I am restoring my 46 4dr sedan, and I had him repaint my set, but I figured since I had a second set, why not do both at the same time? Now I'd like to sell them, and recoupe some of my expense. Stand by for pictures. They are Amazing!
  2. The poll SHOULD ask our age when we caught the Fever! If so, it would be at age 9 for me, when in 1986, I 're' discovered by dad's old 46 Dodge sitting in the woods where he parked it before he joined the Navy in 65. From that day, I always wanted one. Well, I wanted to restore his, but it was too far gone, so I wanted to buy one like it. 28 years of looking, I finally found one in the condition I wanted on ebay 4 years ago.
  3. I don't right now, only because I'm working on the defroster motor and ductwork, but yes, It's got wipers, albeit Vacuum wipers, but still yes.
  4. That's really funny, because on my 46 D-24 Deluxe, one is just a fake knob, for symmetry. On the backside of the dash, it was just a stud bolted in there with a knob on the front!
  5. I just bought an entire new floor for my 46 Dodge from C2C Fabrications in Redford MI. They MAKE the pieces right there in thier shop. I paid less than 700 bucks for front and rear left and right floors, toeboard, left and right toeboard extensions and left and right rocker panels. Didn't need them all, but I figured I would replace everything all at once. I walked in on Friday to order the floors, and walked out with 5 of the 9 pieces. Came back this past Tuesday and picked up the other 4 pieces. If you need floors for anything, I recommend C2C (Classic to Current) Fabrications.
  6. Is there any harm in using a 12V timing light on our 6v systems? My father thought there might be, and I just don't know. I can't seem to find a 6V timing light anywhere, so I'm starting to think that no, there is no difference, but I want some other opinions first. Dad seems to think that hooking it up to the 6v battery might cause an overload in the gun. It's a craftsman, but I've been known to break thier tools from time to time.
