  1. The only reason I'm even thinking about this is because my carb does not have the items shown here: I haven't had any success finding this...
  2. I currently have a Carter 1 BBL Model E7L2 with a dashpot off a 1949 Chrysler Windsor with a flathead 6 250cu. Will there be any problems swapping to a Carter 1BBL without a dashpot?
  3. DCurrent I received this same message too... Didn't seem right to me either.
  4. I didn't have pics of the rear drum, but similar. I was just posting what worked for me, not encouraging a full on assault. A few calculated blows should do the trick.
  5. Yes, it's called RustSeal. It comes in quite a few different colors. Visit www.kbs-coatings.com . They have complete kits too
  6. Chris embrace your frustration and focus that energy into a small 5 lb sledge hammer and strike the hub on the outer edge outwards as you rotate a quarter turn at a time. Be persistent and don't sit in front of it cuz it WILL be like a magnet to your toes. You'll go from this.... To this...
  7. No I used a flat black on the frame and gloss black on the diff... The amazing part is that I used a paintbrush to apply the KBS Coating. I don't sell this stuff but I highly recommend it! I almost wish I was a distributor. Lol!
  8. Is it possible to tell if you're in the #1 firing position with the distributor removed? I'm working on a flathead 6 out of a 1949 Chrysler Windsor 250 cu. with head removed. Trying to pull the oil pump.
  9. I think I may be able to buff it out... Lol! Started as a clean up and get her on the road then my OCD kicked in.
  10. Any help on what these may have come off? I know they're Nash rims but what year range?
  11. Here is a link to a PDF catalog for Restoration Specialties. It's a moderately sized catalog so give it a minute to load. You may find what you're looking for here. Lots of rubber parts with detailed specs and more. Hope it helps. http://www.restorationspecialties.com/131525_2013_catalog.pdf
  12. A little update on the Windsor Project: And ready for clean up...
  13. Did I say how much I love this forum?! Thank you Moose, message sent to you. Spyder, again, great job on this post. I think I will follow your example and post info from my project.
  14. Great job White Spyder! I, too, am working on this carb. Mine is a Carter E7L2 and I purchased a rebuild kit that included a Dashpot rebuild kit from www.carburetor-parts.com. They do have spare parts listed too. Did your kit have the anti stall plunger and spring with it? I did not see one in my kit and do not have one. I am looking for this part in question.... I'm reposting some of your pics for illustration.
  15. Does anybody know of any good sandblasting places near Porterville or Visalia, CA? Needing a frame cleaned up.
  16. Any suggestions on what to use to clean out and recondition a stripped master cylinder?
  17. First day I set eyes on her: In progress: Latest:
  18. I've made some headway... I'll post some updated pics.
  19. Hey Paul! How's that wiring harness coming along? I've been meaning to stop by but it's been busy on the ambulance lately. I'd love to come see what you've done.
  20. Here's a close up of the steering intermediate arm, drag link, and tie rods that you mentioned....
  21. Here's a little update on the Windsor project... Ready for some serious clean up.
