  1. Back in 83 my mom was taking a flight from LAX to DC and needed a ride to the airport. A friend of mine who had a 48 limo was nice enough to not only drive but wore the suit and chauffeurs hat and gave her and I the full treatment. The car ran and rode perfectly until we left the airport, then we got stuck a couple hours while it had an overheating tantrum,. Was a fine car though.
  2. When they are removed it leaves a lot of 1 in holes that have to be sealed. Just took my 51club apart and am looking for a pair myself
  3. Is there anyone that has taken on a correct restoration of a 51 coronet club coupe? I am trying to find the correct color info on the column and shift arm, the window trim and the color code... For the car. This is the same color and interior as mine was new. I'm also trying to locate door sills. The rubber ones
  4. If this car had my visor it would look like mine did new. Wish I could afford it, still has the original plastic seat covers, beautiful car. If anyone knows the color I'm going to the paint shop soon...
  5. Actually there is no cracks, but the clear coat that was sprayed on 20 or so years ago has darkened the color a bit. Today I am pulling the dash and will get better sample from under the speaker grill. And sorry to say the tag was lost in a fire 10 years ago
  6. I have been trying to find out since I got my 51 46years ago
  7. Were they doing water transfer printing in 1951? That's what I am considering investing in now.. Being the only way I can see to get an accurate finish. I have already found reference marks in the 51 Dodge design
  8. I'm seriously considering learning a new paint technique that would be able to reproduce any pattern but the investment is high. Any guess on what people might pay to have these patterns done right (no stickers)?
  9. Hi, I was looking at your car, nice. Wondering if you have any details on the dash finish? No one seems to have any idea how to duplicate it or how it was done when new. I want to redo mine and the idea of printed vinal just grates. Every time I post I get directed to the woodgrain tips.
  10. I'm 53 and got my 51 coronet club coupe,my 1st car, at age 7. I'm 2nd owner and am just starting to drive and restore it after a 32 year nap.
  11. The 51 coronet is not woodgrain, I wish it was, would have been done long ago.
  12. I am looking for someone who knows the process or any information on the original pattern on a 51 coronet club coupe dash and the lower half of the side window frames?
