  2. If so please contact me at info@p15-d24.com I think the owner might be in Europe.
  3. Instrument Services in IL.
  4. Welcome and the the search feature is your best friend.
  5. That's pretty good except the lighting is pretty bad. Give it another shot if you can outside when the weather breaks.
  6. Decent body condition, no dents, missing components etc. If it was all one color it would be good. 10-20 footer.
  7. Paul, read the post carefully ;-)
  8. that is, your car will be famous! I need two photos, one of a P15 from the front and a D24 from the back for a promotional project we are working on. I've included a couple samples to give you an idea what is desired. First a relatively uncluttered background makes life easier for me. For the P15 just slightly height than hood so the top of the steering wheel, clear view of the rear window and rear view mirror are visible. For the D24, I would prefer a biz coupe if possible, with the photo angle high enough to see the mirror through the rear window ( and hopefully the top of the steering wheel.) But if you have a sedan or coupe, especially with the fluid drive script on the back, submit it! For both, if your a camera buff, try with wide angle and a short tele, just looking something visually interesting. But they need to be shot straight down the front to back centerline of the vehicle. Also no driver or passenger. High quality cell phone images are good to, but no HDR images. Looking for a sharp, well exposed image. Now here's the catch, if your car's image is selected you will need to sign a photo release allowing me to use it for reproduction without compensation. That's it, and you have bragging rights your car is the poster car for p15-d24.com. Truck guys, don't worry, we will be doing the same project for you after I get this one wrapped up. Send your photos to info@p15-d24.com. I want to make a choice by early next week so get your cameras out and get the pics of your car to me!
  9. I got some from VPW that were for M37 vehicles. Look a lot nicer.
  10. for your recent donation! Really appreciate the help! GT

  11. Post the casting numbers on the cranks and we can check Hollanders for interchange. FYI I have cranks in the P15-D24 Store if you still need one.
  12. I think some of these models had an early version of disk brakes, but a very different set up than modern disk brakes.
  13. Crankshaft pulley should have two flats to enable to to slip the fan off.
  14. Agree with many of the others, 2 stage 5 hp compressor minimum, 200 amp panel minimum, LED lighting (I get tired of changing the burned out tubes) Gas heater, insulate top and sides, lots of storage including room for multiple tool boxes. I would add a bathroom with a shower. Use a quality floor covering to help keep it clean and looking nice.
  15. OK I know I'm the webmaster and everything, but how do you vote in the poll????
  16. Last time I checked it got down to the 20s and 30s back in the 1940s! Trick to it is good battery with the correct size battery cables! Also the engine needs to be in good tune with a properly working distributor, carb and choke. They are low compression engines, they don't need to spin as fast as modern day engines to start. I never had much of a problem with my P15 when I lived in Indianapolis.
  17. Found these while going through some old files! Big truck 4x4 conversion kits!
  18. First, you should downsample your images to the 100-200Kb size range. They will display fine and you will save a lot of your individual image quota. Second when you start the reassembly make sure you get the was the washer sequence on the front of the counter shaft correct. Their is a mix of bronze and steel. Also their is a welch plug on the front of the case and don't forget to install the thin gasket between the front of the case and the bell housing. Lastly be careful which type of lubricant you reinstall, some can permanently damage the synchro cage.

  20. to Ventura for Christmas Eve! Great news for us is the fires are OUT all along the front country to the coast and over 4,000 fireman have been sent home for the holidays! Have a great Christmas and holiday season!
  21. FYI, the bypass does a better job of filtering the oil than a spin on. It's been my experience when using a remote filter the extra oil line length will also slightly reduce your oil pressure. Spin ons work best when installed on blocks designed for them.
  22. I'm using a Westac, works great. I went with a face like the old Sun style, max rpm 3500.
  23. While this is the "stock" section some upgrades for safety or reliability are good, especially if they are invisible to the observer. Like Dot 5 brake fluid, or factory radio upgrade with FM added. I also added an Allison/Crane optical ignition system. The control box is well hidden so when you lift the hood you think it's stock. Giveaway is when it starts instantly. What's on your truck?
