I'm confused about what I've got here and what I need to fix it.
The previous owner of my truck had done a partial 12v conversion and managed to cook the starter and chew the teeth off of the flywheel by over-cranking the 6v starter with 12 volts.
I had pulled the flywheel cover plate off, looked up there with a flashlight, and saw four crank bolts. So I went ahead and picked up a replacement four-bolt flywheel and used starter from a member here as well as picking a new clutch and throwout bearing online.
After pulling everything apart and getting the old and new matched up, I'm finding some discrepancies.
First of all, I have a crank with eight bolt holes, but only a four bolt flywheel.
Here's a picture:
Second, the replacement flywheel is much thicker than the one that was in there and the ring gear is offset instead of centered. Since the old flywheel was chewed up so bad, I don't know if it was correct in the first place.
Can anyone shed some light on this?

I'd appreciate any input. Thanks.
