  1. Here are a few other problems I’m having ?
  2. Hello everyone I just Recently got my car wired up For the fluid drive on my 46 Windsor and last night I started the car and a weird noise going on sitting in neutral coming from the fluid coupling I believe any thoughts what it may be , here is a clip .
  3. Hello everyone I tried searching the forms and I can’t really find anything I got a 1946 Chrysler Windsor With a fluid drive transmission I had swapped the car over to 12v thinking it was best but that was a rookie mistake I made at the being of my build years ago, I was considering using a 12v to 6v Reducier so I could retain the the fluid drive But I don’t wanna take a chance frying out the Solenoid or the governor , or ignition interrupter as they are up in price , i’ve been driving the car for a few days as if it were a regular Standard and it was working great until today I can put it in high gear , only in reverse or low gear , So my question is is there anyway I can put a three speed standard transmission in the car , I still have the stock flat head engine in the car . Any thoughts will be much appreciated .
  4. Thanks for your help Merle got the wiring up and running ??
  5. helpful info , thanks for your help guys going to look at the ignition setup this weekend.
  6. Sorry about that Frank for some reason I must have copied my old post to this new post my mistake.
  7. So unfortunately a while back I rewired my car from 6v to 12v “newbie” mistake , I thought by replacing the Old and dry brittle wiring to a updated 12v system would be a great upgrade , unfortunately it made things harder , currently my ignition is wired using a aftermarket ignition as seen in picture below right now I’m stuck on trying to figure out how to still obtain my original key and ignition switch any ideas on how to connect using Ga, am,rad ? I also will still be using the push button set up like the original way. Below is a picture of the original ignition switch .
  8. Got the car moving today thanks for your help all.
  9. I’m currently doing my front disc brake set using a scarebird kit with a ECI master cylinder bracket kit , bolts in the same location as the original master cylinder on the floor , I’m retaining my stock rear drum setup with the upgraded disc front ,when I called to order they were very helpful to be sure to send me the correct master cylinder. I would contact them to see if they have something for you PU. http://ecihotrodbrakes.com/chrysler_master_assemblies.html

  11. You called it out simple stuff first thank you. I went through the boxes the car came with of extra parts by any chance are these what I’m looking for ?
  12. okay so after lifting the car on all four , removing the wheels and removing cotter pin check out what’s missing . And here’s what I found on the driver side along with metal shavings Here is a clip of me turning the driveshaft by hand to see if the axles turn
  13. Both tires are on the floor , I’m going to be working on the car tomorrow morning I’ll see if I can take more videos and remove the cover to see what’s going on inside.
  14. I currently have the pedals disconnected at the master cylinder as soon as I get the pedals back up I’ll test to see if the tires jerk or wiggle .
