  1. First 2 numbers are the week. Second 2 numbers are the year. 11th week of 1993. Googled tire date decoder.
  2. At one time I had considered doing the Cavalier conversion. After research I decided not to. Reasons. Having to adapt or replace steering column. Loss of turning radius, the rack doesn't turn the wheels as far. It is a doable conversion, but what I have is working. If it aint broke don't fix it.

    Fuel tank

I bought a tank, gas line ferrule, straps and sending unit on eBay from; https://www.ebay.com/usr/moparpro?_trksid=p2047675.l2559 Well worth it. Also got the rubber hose for the filler tube.
  4. Went through my files and found the shock guide from Monroe. Once you know what size you need use the manual to find a comparable shock and use the part number for the parts store to cross reference. Shock_MountingLengthSheet.pdf
  5. I'm concerned about that also. I am planning on running some schedule 40 pipe through the frame at the mounting points. Welding it in and cutting it square on each end close to the frame. After seeing your plates I may try and add them into the build.
  6. The F1 shock mount relocates the upper mounting point from the upper control arm to the frame. I have not done mine yet. I have saved a photo of someones change for a reference and will post it here. Shock length will depend on compressed and extended travel between mounts. You will want more travel than what you measure to avoid bending the shock or mounting points. Hope this gives you some help. I believe Dodge had mounts like these on some of their trucks, don't remember the years.
  7. My first series 1949 (same as 1948) has Spitfire cast in the head and is the original engine. If your block is a 25 inch there should be no problem with the swap. You may want to replace the water distribution tube in the head.
  8. I bought a tank, gas line ferrule, straps and sending unit on eBay from; https://www.ebay.com/usr/moparpro?_trksid=p2047675.l2559 Well worth it. Also got the rubber hose for the filler tube.
  9. I don't know if this will help. I am doing an ECI disc conversion and have to get different rims to clear the calipers. You download the instructions from their site. I am replacing 11" drums. I have some 17" wheels from a 2002 Chrysler 300, but have to check offset yet. EC-758_Instructions.pdf EC-759_Instructions.pdf
  10. I've been checking out Moparmall for parts want list. They also have a 1 piece window gasket. Link follows. https://www.moparmall.com/MoPar-PN-848406-848407-848763-892190-893401-946017-p/yh-78865.htm
  11. I look at this and it seems that the generator is not in alignment. May be an illusion but the fan on the generator is at an angle with the water pump pulley. Just my opinion.
  12. I purchased my disc conversion from ECI. I got this info from their site. When I talked to them they told me that stock rims would not fit. Still in planning stages for changing brakes over next summer. I also got the manual master cylinder conversion. https://www.ecihotrodbrakes.com/catalog.html
  13. What ohm Runtz resistor is used with a conversion from 6 to 12 volts?
  14. Many years ago I purchased a packet on body info that may help. You can (with help) remove both fenders and grill as one unit to ease access to the motor bay. Hope this helps. Front clip removal and install.pdf
  15. I bought a tank, straps and sending unit on eBay from; https://www.ebay.com/usr/moparpro?_trksid=p2047675.l2559 Well worth it.
  16. Thanks for the info. I plan on using the original switch and replacing the existing wiring harness.
  17. I am planning a 12 volt conversion. My question is will the original turn signal switch handle 12 volts or will I have to replace it? I will be doing a complete rewire on my 1st series 49 Windsor.
  18. I have purchased the master cylinder and disc brake conversions from ECI for my Windsor. Kits look very well made and I spent around 1/2 hour with Mark (owner of ECI) to make sure all my questions were answered and got an invitation to call back with any more. I found them through this post here. I will start a post while doing the job. https://p15-d24.com/topic/54615-mc-kit-for-46-49-dodgeplymouth/
  19. I bought a B body 8 3/4 rear end for my Chrysler. I used this chart to help pick out the rear end that was closest in size. I have to relocate spring perches as I'm not going to bind the leafs in 1 1/2" on each side.
  20. Welcome to the forum. I have a 49 1st series Chrysler Windsor, carry over from 48. I am quite familiar with rodent issues and smells. Check all your wiring as they like to chew on it.
  21. Had this sent to me in a group of car hauler pictures and thought I'd share.
  22. I found this a while back researching my Windsor. I don't know if there is anything on the net for Dodge or Plymouth. Possibly some of the info may apply.
  23. Microsoft has a compatibility check program that you can download and run to see if your computer will support Windows 7 or not. You can get it a this link. http://windows.microsoft.com/upgradeadvisor I found that while I could run 7 my pc's performance would be marginal at best. I stayed with XP.
  24. I picked up an image of what the tag looks like on both sides and a service tag also. I think this was from ebay and they are reproduction items.
