  1. Any tips on installing the exterior stainless trim in my windshield rubber. 1951 dodge regent. broke my new w/s passenger half installing it after the glass . maybe I should install it before. ? thanks in adavnce

  3. just been working on the top for spring...going to make the bows next and then i'll be warm and cozy...osoyoos may be the vegas of canada only because its the end of the same desert type ...the first nations have been trying to open a casino for years but no success...the only gambling in osoyoos is "idiot tax" govnt lotteries...you are right about the hotels motels and resturants tho...lots of those to service the tourists and wine tasters....maybe the "motel strip " is where the comparison started..

  6. hey all thanks for the new responses...just noticed them...i need some help tho...you may have seen my posts on the d7 overdrive that i want to install on my 51...found a bell housing tyo mount it but i need a 36-39 shifter tower to convert my cable to floor shift...thats the theory anyhoo...thanks for the comments and yes i'm BCT on the canadian rodder site...drive a 28 roadster when the weather permitts...osoyoos is great but i no longer live there...too much moola for land...i now live in the bush 30 k down a gravel road...

  8. hello all...i have a 51 regent w/49 desoto.flat six and a three speed manual...when i bought the car it also came w/another 3 spd...lnkage shift..and an early cable shift tranny w/an overdrive...d7 cuz it only has one can (thanks search)...is there a way to use this OD...i found an early bell housing from a 40 which should bolt up the early tranny and OD to my six...but the cable shift stuff is different...is there a cross over linkange tranny that will solve all my problems..thanks...

  10. thanks for the welcome the dakota swap was easy...i searched dakota on this site and got a great amount of info...the short story is pre 92 dakota ...change the brakes w/ rarwheel drive diplomat/dynasty after you yank the ebrake.....clean off all the perches and shock mnts ...weld on your oem perches....buy a crossover u joint....half external and half internal clips...i'm going to find the post i used to give the credit where its due...Don i'm not sure about the block swap...was done by a good friend b4 he was killed at work...the paint is "rust not" from lordco(canadian i think)and a healthy dose of reducer to make it harden ....the car on the right is a studebaker erskine...about 30 i think...somebody in the 70s turned it from a four door to two....will be hot rod soon...
  11. used dakota wheels on my 51 dodge after the 11"disk conversion....i had to grind the inner tabs on the center a little bit:eek: to get it too work....does anyone have a better fit or tried spacers w/disks
  12. first time poster...name is garett ,from Osoyoos BC...i drive a 51 regent four door and love the ol girl....very satisfying hobby and the parts ae still reasonable too i bought this car for 900 bucks w/rebuilt desoto and an overdrive tranny...did the disk and dakota rear swap...drove it for the first time last w/e at local show....anyhoo...thanks for an informative site and will talk w/ya soon
