  1. When are you coming to sunny California? That would help to tell you what is going on, like the Grand National Roadster Show is going on next month at the Pomona Fairgrounds. Tony C
  2. I would also have your machinist look at the valve seats, that's what I lost on the 3rd day I owned my 50 Plymouth. The rebuild on that motor wasn't very old, but I lost number 2 exhaust valve seat, my machinist said that others were loose also. Tony C
  3. Well I think this forum is great also, just look at everybody patting each other on the back. I have a few that I need to pat on the back also, Tim, Don, Greg, Norms, Dezildoc, and probabaly more. I come to this forum every day at least once, just for giggles. Tony C
  4. Watching that film of the 57 Caddie bouncing around reminds me of a trip I made with my step dad years ago. We were going to Tahoe and I was driving my step dads 57 coupe deville, we were going up old 395, my step dad was sleeping and I hit those big dips. My step dad's head hit the roof, before I could get it slowed down. I know that we were air borne for a ways, my step dad had a stiff neck for a while. He chewed me out for quite a while after that one. Tony C

  7. Hi All, For those who care Nick DeSimone is the new president of the POC, as of January 1 2010. I think you will see some changes in the POC, if Nick can have his way. I think he will be trying to go after the younger crowd, to join. Tony C

  16. Happyhewy, When I decided to put a V8 in my coupe, one of the biggest things was that I wanted A/C in it. Where abouts are you in Riverside? I am a little Northwest of the city.

  23. Al, One more thing when I moved my firewall back, I didn't move the whole firewall I cut out a section that the motor could fit in and only moved that section back. Making sure I had enough height to remove the distributor. Tony C
  24. Al, I am not sure about the truck engine compartment but in the 50 cars you can move the radiator forward without modifying it. Tony C
