  1. Pat I believe what he is looking for is the windshield frame which is a removable part on a 39-47 mopar pickup. They are quite susceptible to rusting out.
  2. The 39-47 trucks have a big thick foamlike piece that smushes between the gastank and the cab floor. Out of the 6 trucks we've owned only 1 still had that piece.
  3. Wait a minute. If you own an old car and still have a thick wallet something is wrong!
  4. I must say I've never had an issue with these. Dad and I bought a 40 plymouth pickup out of a junkyard in Jordan MN. That was probably 5 years ago and it had been sitting in the yard since sometime in the 50s. Just put the puller on there and used it to pull the drums. No heat required. Pulled the brake shoes put the drums back and put some used 90w in the rear end. It towed with a car dolly 200miles like that. Sometimes I think the only problem with these is too small a hammer!
  5. Ah now I get what you are seeing. Those interior shots are obviously full size cars. The video must be made in a RHD country. I looked at all my hotwheels sitting here on my desk at work and only the old style mini cooper is RHD.
  6. Good question. I doubt it. I wonder if the european hotwheels have different chassis under them for that? Seems like a lot of work for a cheap toy.
  7. Hey Tom welcome to the group. Sorry I don't have any spares of those 2 parts. However you can expand your search a little. The headlight can come from any 41-47 dodge and the windshield fits 39-47 and a whole bunch of power wagons too. Roberts does carry brand new repro headlights too if you want to go that route. Sadly no one makes windshield frames for the pickups yet.
  8. That was neat. I'm pretty sure I own that green hotwheels and maybe the black one too.
  9. Wow that's really crappy. I've bought 3 old cars with no titles now. Never had anything like this happen though. And the first thing I did on all of mine was get title to them. I would say thats really the lesson to be learned there. I'm sure you guys all remember the 55 dodge I bought. Well it was abandoned in a rental garage. The owner jumped through all the cities hoops and got written permission to sell the contents for back rent. That's how I got the car.
  10. MN is the same way now. Only 1 plate required for anything eligable to run collector plates even if you aren't running them. Here in MN YOM plates are treated the same as collector plates.
  11. I've thought about trying to set up a strip of LEDs inside it for a nice glow. You could then color it to match too.
  12. Here's the address for the 3 targets in Tulsa. If any of those are close to the area anyone should be a fine meeting place. Do we have anyone that knows the area? 1701 S Yale Ave Tulsa, OK 74112 10711 E 71st St Tulsa, OK 74133 14009 E 21st St Tulsa, OK 74134
  13. Ah the Iowa show. We had reservations to go there with dads freshly restored convert. On the shake down cruise the weekend before the engine lost oil pressure. So I spent the w/e of that show pulling the engine back out of the freshly restored convert. The engine had lasted 172 miles
  14. Even if we miss parking at the show I'm sure we can get together. There's always a target parking lot or something.
  15. I know the 54-56 trucks could have v8s. There is a 3/4 ton for sale down the street from me with a 270 poly v8 and a 4spd. Its pretty cheap if anyone is interested.
  16. Our forcasted high for tomorrow is -2! We don't have as much snow as Norm does though.
  17. Wow Bob I just noticed that first big tanker you posted which is a 54 I believe only has a 6cyl badge on the front. That round rams head emblem between the 2 1/2s of the hood would be a V on a v8 truck.
  18. Hey Billy glad to see you made it to the new forum!
  19. Bob those late 50s trucks could be housing first gen hemis. A 354 with 2 2bbls would be neat!
  20. Well when we built the third the second one minus its electrics was hoisted into the rafters and displayed up there. I'm not sure what ever happened to this one. I hope its around somewhere.
  21. Hey Reg here's the 2nd boat I helped on. You can see its a mix of pontoon and klingon warbird! Interesting to see myself 10 years ago....
  22. Heck no. That truck would be put back on the road. I've got almost enough parts to just start building my own 40 plymouth but there is some stuff missing like a restorable nose stainless. Here part of my 40
  23. Man I'd love to have that! Why is stuff always so far away? Tim Adams coming to MN anytime soon? BTW thats a 40 ply pickup
  24. I thought the POC was having its own show in the area. The tulsa show in invitation only and I think my chances are slim of getting an invite!
  25. I'm in the POC but haven't heard any details on the show they are putting on.
