  1. Yes, there are trainers and owners that do disgusting things with their dogs while training or when they're done racing them. But most of those guys are no longer around. The trainer that raised my pup was really good to his dogs. The lady I adopted Max from had a good relationship with him. My dog LOVED not only to run but to race. I have absolutely nothing against the races.
  2. Sorry about your loss. I went from a greyhound to a boxer. Talk about a 180! I finally made it past the puppy stage with Cooper, if there's such a thing as a boxer growing out of their puppy stage...
  3. That would be me. He passed several years ago. Still miss him pretty much every day. He was about the best behaved dog I've ever had (or seen for that matter). Never barked at anything (he would speak when I asked him to, though). I actually was able to train him to sit which greyhounds don't typically like to do.
  4. Good call on them saying cars would be influenced by aircraft in the future. But I'd say they missed the mark just a tad on the "1960 model"
  5. Most likely when you remove the panel to replace the plug there will be a wiring diagram for 3 & 4 prong plugs. If not there will be one in the manual.
  6. The owner crossed the Cooper River bridge here in Charleston. Said she would never do that again. The most she was able to go was 25mph. I think it pretty much tops out around 45 (on a good day). She also said that a kid on a bike blew her out of the water at a stop sign.
  7. Send me a self-addressed stamped envelope and I'll send you a 44cent donation. Shoot, I may even go as high as 88cents!
  8. What the heck are YOU doing with WWW tires?
  9. Man, that was too easy! Really cool couple. This is the wife's part-time daily driver. Tim A, you'd like the husband's daily driver. This has been his car for the past 15 years, brought it over from Italy.
  10. And yes it has suicide doors. Very cool little car.
  11. Not all rubber, but the rubber for the trunk lid is available from JCWhitney for cheap. Perfect fit, too. http://www.jcwhitney.com/molded-sponge-rubber-weatherstripping-for-doors-and-trunks/p2008603.jcwx
  12. There's some info on the Datsun 240Z page. http://www.studiotimecapsule.com/aluminum_datsun_240z To give you an idea: Original door is 34.82 lb(15.78kg) New door is 19.84 lb(9.0kg) I think just with the door skin, he saved 6lbs.
  13. Compared to this guy? http://www.studiotimecapsule.com/aluminum_fabrication
  14. It's no worse than downtown Charleston when it rains at high tide.
  15. Just started watching, but she paid 1000 pounds for that pile? Whoever sold it to her should feel ashamed. My neighbor picked up an MG Midget a few months ago for $45 in similar shape, although there is paint on it. I think he may have overpaid. He could part it out and do OK. I need to send him this set of videos as motivation
  16. Don, do I need to remind you of all the dangers of dihydrogen monoxide? http://www.dhmo.org/facts.html To me, it seems much more dangerous than anything found in Seafoam
  17. I've used water and seafoam. Seafoam puts on a pretty good show. How I do seafoam is start off like Don said, pouring it in while half revving the engine, then when you're about out of seafoam, slightly increase the amount you pour in until it stumbles and cuts out. Stop pouring immediately. Let the engine sit for 5-10 minutes and crank up the engine (takes a little while). Sit back and watch the show. Better than any smoke bomb
  18. The worst I've had (but also the one I wish I still had) an '82 Mazda RX-7. When I bought it, the clutch slipped a little bit so I knew it was going to be an issue in the near future. Had the clutch replaced and it ran great for about another 3 months, then it started slipping again. The mechanic that worked on it was good, knew the RX7s, but he could never get it right. Must have replaced the clutch at least 4 times but could never get it right. He was just about to replace the whole tranny when I wrecked it.
  19. She looks a little young to be a "cougar". I believe the women her age are called a puma.
  20. My wife is tolerant about my car (the Dodge, at least). She's not a fan of me picking up other cars, though. I'll wear her down eventually. The main thing is lack of space for other cars. My girlfriend and partner are OK with my hobby
  21. I've been working with my wife for the past year and a half. Not as bad as you would think, but I wouldn't recommend it for everyone. I basically run the business (financial and HR) while my wife does the hard work. Our business is putting together medical cases for attorneys. Life care plans, cost projections, screen for merit, etc. It's been pretty interesting work.
