  2. I'm putting a 1948 Dodge flathead into my 1994 Dodge B150 Van. I'm guessing top speed to be about 35 MPH but I never drive the freeway so should be OK.
  3. I have NOS this carburetor # 1125435 /SQUARE AIR HORN #380165 models C-39,40 1946-48 Chrysler
  4. OK I realize these catalogs are much newer than the 1960s but I assume some of you have newer Mopars too. So hopefully this will help you........... Mopar Part Catalogs - Google Drive06-09 actually goes to 20121981-96 is Jeep and TruckThe rest of the Jeep and Truck would be under the other year rangesI have this downloaded on my computer from a disc I got years ago from a dealershipIt works super quick unlike this version I am posting as it was loaded off the disc directly to my computer. You can whip through this if you know what GROUP number you are looking for.Example: Group 23 is Body which includes exterior moldings, sheet metal, or Group 8 which is Electrical....etc.I believe after 2012 all the parts books came into the dealership via computer and as far as I know there is noway to access that info unless you were in the parts department.Any rants or questions let me know

  6. if they sent you a reproduction or an NOS item that was hard due to it's age then have them see if they have any that are soft....I'd get your $ back on that part too.
  7. Business coupes are rather rare (27,600) and the 4 doors are super common (believe over 500,000) in the 3 year run of the D-24. Correct me if I am wrong. It would be a shame to alter it.
  8. I might have a line on one for sale. I'm in Tempe AZ Anyone in the state have one of these? Need parts?
  9. Toward the end of the movie Tony Curtis and Sidney Poitier are in a barn trying to get the car to run. Battery is dead. They get is started by using a hand crank thru the bumper. Hollywood at it's finest!
  10. Glad you liked my beginnings in the hobby
  11. Here I am with my 1st car: 1948 Dodge Club coupe. Around 1971 and 100.00. I was the 2nd owner. Engine took a dump shortly after I bought it. The transmission oil was just like silver paint....full of fine metal. Had to borrow some $ from my dad to buy a motor out of a wrecking yard. In the early 1970s there were lots of these in the Phoenix, AZ area sitting in front of houses. I would go by and ask if they wanted to sell the parts off of them. They invariably answered "no' but you can take it away for free. I had a friend that was a repo man so he had a tow truck. I was able to snag 3 of them for nothing. I had a bunch of them...all sedans that I stripped and then scrapped the bare body shells. At one point I had a "sledge hammer party" at my place. A totally bare body shell/frame awaited my friends. I remember we beat the crap out of the car shell. It was one tough SOB. I bought a nice 1948 Dodge business coupe and rebuilt the engine at Arizona State University in a class I took. That part of ASU is long gone. It turned out really nice. Ran great . Wish I still had that one. There were lots of those cars in wrecking yards so I snagged anything that was still good. I kept all of it and when I started my Mopar parts business I had lots of this to begin my inventory. This is what got me into the hobby and the business. My father told me he owned a D-24 business coupe in Massachusetts where I was born. He drove it full of samples from his father's "dry goods business" up to Maine and other areas near there. He told me my mom ripped the door handle off it as she never had good depth perception. I was born in in 1949 so I do not remember the car. The one thing that I always loved was the dash on the car: gobs of chrome set off with wood graining.
  12. The upper one is 1324127 1951-52 Plymouth. Do not have anymore. This one was heavy. The lower one have not been able to identify and have 3 NOS. These are much lighter than the one above. Any ideas on what these 3 might be for?
