  1. I put allen wrenches of different sizes into the small hole by the area you describe but they just spin around. It appears that it may be stripped. What would I do if this is the case? Thanks Steve
  2. I am trying to remove the right rear door latch on my 47 4 door to replace it. I removed the obvious 4 screws in the door frame but can't tell what else I need to remove it. I removed the door panel and interior window frame but it is still very difficult to see the inside of the latch which is behind the steel in the door frame. Are there any tricks or tips to get this out? I searched for previous posts on this topic and came up empty. Thanks for your help. Steve
  3. Thanks for the quick responses. shel_bizzy_48 - That is not a spring in the picture. They are two washer like pieces. I'm not sure of thier purpose. I figured out how this works. The spring is not where I expected. It is located in the rear of the latch near the bottom and is a large thick spring. As the door handle is pushed down it forces a long lever, that runs from the top of the latch to the bottom and rests on the end tang of the spring. See the lower right of the attached picture to see the spring. The door handle goes in from the opposite side of the partially covered square hole in the top left of the picture. I hope this might help someone else. Thanks for all of your help. I think I'm all set. Steve
  4. Three of the four outside door handles on my P15 do not return to their original position after the door is opened. I bought a used inside mechanism replacement on ebay and it appears that it will do the same thing once installed even though I specifically asked about this prior to purchasing. I can't tell, by looking at it, how/if this can be repaired. Any help would be appreciated. Pictures would also be great. I tried searching the forum for previous posts and someone posted this same question for a '50 and there were a couple of greate pictures but my mechanism doesn't look like that one and I don't see a spring. Thank you, Steve
  5. I looked carefully at the tag and the part number is correct.
  6. I have a used generator that is taking up space in my garage. A picture is attached. Can anyone help with identitying it? It has part number 1688651 on the tag and also the Auto Lite number is GJC 7001C which is also on the tag. It it worth anything used? I don't know if it works. I could ebay it if it is but it weighs almost a million pounds. Thanks for you help, Steve
