  1. There is no floor pan, or access to the pedals from above. I have a 2 post lift, so I can get to them from underneath the car (although not that easily), but there's not enough room to remove the clevis without the clevis hitting the clutch pedal mechanism
  2. Hi All -- I'm trying to remove the master cylinder from my '40 Plymouth P10 so I can rebuild it. I have the brake line fitting disconnected and the MC mounting bolts removed. The shop manual says to remove the cotter and clevis pin which connect the piston push rod and pedal. I've removed the cotter pin, but cannot get the clevis pin out. There's not enough room -- it hits the clutch pedal pivot point. What am I doing wrong?? Thanks Dan
  3. Hi All -- I've been scouring the internet, but can't seem to come up with a rear brake cylinder rebuild kit for a 1940 Plymouth P10. Napa carries front brake cylinder rebuild kits, but the rear rubber inserts are a little smaller than the front - so the front kit doesn't fit. Anyone have a lead on where I can find a rebuild kit? Thanks!
  4. Hi All -- First ever post... I have a 1940 Plymouth Deluxe that is pretty much entirely original. It has the original 201cc and 3-on-the-tree transmission. I would like to upgrade the tranny to try to eke out a reliable 55-65mph top speed. Is this possible while maintaining the original engine? Is there an overdrive that would pair relatively easily with the 201 and 3-speed? Thanks!
