  1. I've known Don to be hard headed, didn't think it was that hard! Yellowstone is huge, would take a week to see it all, so do some research to maximize your visit. Was there three years ago.
  2. What is a tip toe harness, similar to overdrive?
  3. Today I broke my determination to do all the labor on my truck by letting a good shop fix my exhaust pipe and muffler. They cut out about six feet of pipe and installed a quiet muffler. Engine sound is still there.but so much less and the sound is not harsh to hear. Total expense, $165.00. Getting ready for the BBQ drive. After the BBQ I'm going to stay overnight in Jamestown, a 90 minute drive, then on Sunday drive into Yosemite Valley. The water falls should be quite full by then. With the green grasses and colorful spring flowers it should be a great drive. Join me!
  4. Yes Todd, got to be careful of some coastal cars. Andy Dodge, yes its mine, it survived a "rust storm"!
  5. This one doesn't drive in the snow either, but it sure could!
  6. 49d is spot on. To down shift from any gear in any transmission, I clutch, rev up the engine and position to the lower gear, then clutch again. By maintaining slight pressure on the lower gear, the transmission will "draw" the lower gear in when the engine drive shaft and the pinion shaft are ar equal RPM'S. I once could shift up and down with this method without even using the clutch, others on this forum have done the same. It's called DRIVING! Try it, it's fun to do.
  7. At -74, the only ones going anywhere are those headed to the BBQ! LOL
  8. The damaged plate didn't bother me, but he didn't have to remove the windshield glass to cut down on air resistance! LOL
  9. Airport tug: Wisconsin/Minnesota snowplow ? LOL
  10. Trampsteer, ever hear of a fatality in one of these? How about on a motorcycle? ?
  11. Charles Horsch and Paul Flaming at Kettleman City. Myself, Don's friend, and Don Jordan in Sutter Creek enroute home after 2017 BBQ.
  12. So does Tim gets the totality of the bids and the highest bid gets the cluster?
  13. Three years ago we stayed on the north border of Yellowstone ntl park. Someone left the roof window open overnight and a bear tore it off trying to get in. Those guys are powerful.
  14. You gonna put a small flood light in the fill panel? A very cool project.
  15. So you like image and attitude? Check this out!
  16. Now here is a project for the bikers.
  17. I lit up Daves photo, a great photo. Thanks Dave
  18. 41/ 53. Thank you! Very much appreciated.
  19. Don, I was going to ignore your observation, but if those of us with loose screws did not ask questions, guys like you would not have anyone to "help"! Additionally, I can usually tighten a loose screw, but there are other maladies that are more difficult to diagnose and even more difficult to treat.
  20. I was chauffeured to last years BBQ by Don Jordan. His 47 Plymouth ran very nicely yet as the drive up and back progressed, the engine would suddenly loose power down to a near idle, but then would recover, etc., etc.,. Later he discovered that the top of his carb was damp, so he tightened all the screws and bolts and drove home without incident. Yesterday i I was showing my engine to an interested person and noted my carb was damp on top. I got wrenches and discovered every screw and nut to be just short of snug. Is this common?

  22. What is the length of the B3B, three speed, three on the tree transmission input shaft? See photo, TKS
  23. I need that shaft length, B3B. TKS
  24. If she is a hippy, I would be surprised. But that camper looks to be well designed, I like the outside wash basin, and the flower planter at the window.
  25. Found this, sweet!
