  1. The above is great motivation to replace old brake hoses and lines. TKS. I've replaced both hoses and lines.
  2. March 8 I am scheduled for neurological testing of both wrists and hands. My right hand is severe, the fingers go numb fast. Wrenching really sets it off as does screw driver work. This is not a complaint just a fact of my life. Question, how many of you have had this problem and what kind of relief have you received and how much relief did you get?
  3. I built a track for my son and his friends with four lanes, the back lanes were 22' long and with crossovers the tolal distance of all lanes was about the same. All curves were sloped so the cars could go full out the total distance. The controls would get so hot the kids had to take breaks during which they would rebuild a car or two they had worn out the previous day. We had a full parts area for repair. The track was an "L" bootleg track, 22' on the back sides and 11' on the boot leg. Lots of fun.
  4. I want to replace the HARD body mounts. Can I release/cut off the existing mounts, raise the cab, install new and let the cab back down? Could it be that simple or am I overlooking something?
  5. "WAY too late and yes, talked myself into doing the rebuild last night, Just need an engine stand that can handle it." whew, close! I thought you had lost it!!!
  6. If any one is interested in any of these books, pm me. All are new.
  7. Seats are from 2010 Lincoln Town car. The color will work but is not quite right.
  8. The only cow in a small Iowa town stopped giving milk. The people did some research and found that they could buy a cow just across the state line in Wisconsin for $200. They bought the cow from Wisconsin and the cow was wonderful. It produced lots of milk all of the time, and the people were pleased and very happy. They decided to acquire a bull to mate with the cow to produce more cows like it. They would never have to worry about their milk supply again. They bought the bull and put it in the pasture with their beloved cow. However, whenever the bull came close to the cow, the cow would move away. No matter what approach the bull tried, the cow would move away from the bull and he could not succeed in his quest. The people were very upset and decided to ask the Vet, who was very wise, what to do. They told the Vet what was happening. “Whenever the bull approaches our cow, she moves away. If he approaches from the back, she moves forward. When he approaches her from the front, she backs off. An approach from the side, she walks away to the other side.” The Vet thought about this for a minute and asked, “Did you by chance, buy this cow in Wisconsin?” The people were dumbfounded, since no one had ever mentioned where they bought the cow. “You are truly a wise Vet,” they said. “How did you know we got the cow in Wisconsin?” The Vet replied with a distant look in his eye, “My wife is from Wisconsin.” Sorry, just couldn't help myself. LOL
  9. Some more done.
  10. I did the same in mine.
  11. I wondered if it was it. I nearly bought it and not rebuild the one I'm rebuilding. Great headliner work.
  12. A suburban same as yours was for sale a year ago in Fresno, California. Just curious.
  13. Today I drove the truck to a drive shaft company so they could advise me. All looks good, now to install the OD and take measurements. The truck ran comfortably at 2500 RPM's and I had no trouble driving with evening traffic on the freeway and the engine was not maxed out. It was a nice 70 mile round trip. When new refined OD shifter parts are done, it will be installation time for that. New muffler and pipe reduced a lot of noise, valve adjustment, and new rear non aggressive tires are next. Oh, and the driveline owner is a member of the Fresno MOPAR Club so I may have recruited several more for Tims BBQ. It was great day!
  14. I'm a long roof owner, '53 Plymouth, so like those above, please keep us informed. It nice to get an old car with such beautiful paint! Love the patina!
  15. PA needs some snow meds!
  16. Some do not realize the ions in snow which are very invigorating. Sad!
  17. Dave, i see you are from Alaska, maybe those extra holes are for ice fishing! LOL
  18. Holes let in noise, air, moisture, and fumes. Pick or eliminate your poison. JMHO
  19. My shifter works very nicely on the bench. There remain a couple rod linkages that need tweaking, the lockout handle mount will be aluminum and properly milled to hold position and the upper clevis rod lifter will be cosmetically charged but not until it's installed and the levers are adapted to fit seats, etc. the real lever is the lockout lever so all controls will be on the floor. I just ordered a new relay and kick down switch, and a mounting adapter plate is being made on a CNC machine. The drive shaft will need to be shortened and balanced, $$$$, then installation. I have a lift spoken for and two friends to help. That done I'm ready for the BBQ drive. So so if you want to test drive the shifter and overdrive see me at the "Q". Edit: 2/13/18. Yesterday I took all my shop fabbed parts in to my machinist friend to have them refined. I also made contact with a driveline build and repair shop to shorten and balance it. The goal is to install it the last days of Feb. Now, how difficult is it to put in new body mounts? Mine are rock solid!
  20. The wiper arms mount on these stubs. I do not have all the inner spacers for my '52,set but I have a set from a ''48 /. 51 cab. Do they interchange. Can I use the older design?

  22. On an errand and stopped to enjoy the moment. It is getting very beautiful but a little too soon and not enough snow in the mountains. The big problem with an early bloom is the real threat of a late freeze, buds and fruit in the blossoms are not freeze friendly.
  23. A lot of lookers are jealous, even has cabin headliner. Very nice,
