  1. Allbizz, dead on, I.have yet to buy on line.
  2. I took my old shocks to NAPA and bought shocks that matched, same with my 53 Suburban. They work f8ne.
  3. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/2357163704394305/ Silver dome, sorry for the delay, wasn’t watching. This should do it
  4. Shop heater. When cold weather comes will start With a hot quick fire to get the wood end nice and warm, then let it radiate, maybe add a small log every so often, stove cost me $50.00
  5. I only know that there is a wide descrepency in headlight brightness in California. Raised trucks lights are absolutely blinding. Very dangerous.
  6. The Tesla truck apparently has an LED bar front and rear. A very interesting vehicle. I like it, i does not. Have any paint on it. LOL
  7. Can an LED light bar be used to replace individual lights? The obvious answer is a qualified yes because they are used on off road vehicles. But can they be legal on the public roads? 2. Can they be dual filament for hi / lo lighting.
  8. I am not selling this car nor do I know the seller. Just passing on the material. “Rare 1956 Plymouth 2 door wagon. Even more rare is that it has an original “power pack” option which includes a 2bbl carb, larger air cleaner and different rear end gear ratio. I believe this was a factory option original to this car. Car runs, moves and stops but is NOT road worthy. I have replaced the carb, water pump, fuel pump and various other components. Gas tank was removed and professionally cleaned and reinstalled. Replaced all wheel cylinders, soft brake lines and 2 new sets of shoes. Brakes still need final adjustments. Car has rust in floors, rockers, quarters and doors. I have purchased all new floor and rocker panels. Body rust looks fairly easy to replace or repair. Very rare and unusual combination for a wagon. I have a clean and clear California title in my name on a non-op.”
  9. I believe the ignominious Mustang Ranch is near Reno. Word from the grapevine is that the owner Madam Curry got the title because she always had a full pot of cutthroat on rice for her clients , compliments of the house, after a “pony” ride! Bananas optional! So it hasl been rumored!
  10. Update: will be a fun car. The Suburban is back in my shop. Will be in Henderson, NV this week, then back on the Suburban until it is legal abd drivable. Will tow the Sportster to CHP to title it also. Both are out of the system, so starting one. Safe Thanksgiving to all.
  11. Todd, Sarah might get first dibs.,LOL
  12. Back when, in the ‘50’’s , western Nebraska ranch, feeding cattle started every day. Tractors had to start! Warm battery, warm oil. Dipstick heater worked fine and light weight oil. The effect of cold Wester on gasoline is interesting. In Omaha in the late ‘60’s my school cars were VW’s, had three of them. Even at 20 below, they always started.
  13. Very, very nice but as a former cattle ranch kid, do not understand transgendering. LOL
  14. he is still a young man. I can’t remember 1962, maybe because I was married in 1961! A significant change in one life temporarily short circuits the memory! LOL yet wasn’t bad at all, still married to that young lady.
  15. The location is come what critical because it must fit into the hidden frame cavity below. My suburban is not home now so cannot give exact position. However, that switch can be installed any time so pressing need.
  16. History, not many of us left who grew up without electricity, telephone, no radio after sunset, etc. That was how it was. We got electricity in 1948, I was 10. To have lights in the barn was high cotton!
  17. -20 =- 5 f. A dry cold, not too bad, add wind, chilly. I fed cattle many times in Wester Nebraska whin I was a teenager.
  18. I wish I was closer. I’m in Fresno area. We have a fantastic MOPAR BBQ just East if Lodi, the first weekend of April. You might want to form a caravan and take a look at what we have. Each year 49-60 cars and trucks. paul
  19. All that remains is the wiring. Needs color spark plug wires and silver air ducts, muffler tips. Installing the tin and repainted items was a challenge. It is an interesting mechanical puzzle, parts are codependent so two or three parts sometimes go on loosely, then tightened down. I put all new lock washers everywhere. So now ready to install. My mechanic called, the Suburban is ready, but now it will have to wait.
  20. very interesting to enlarge this and study the different people, wealthy to not so. The sign, “room to let “ ELECTRICITY,
