  1. I put one on a drop cord, then pulled it up to the top of mr cathedral ceiling shop. Looks like a miniature ceiling fan. I will lower it and readjust the lights for the best lighting for my needs. One thing is very clear, I have a much safer shop! Will get a photo later today.
  2. Mine isn’t quite as fancy, but should provide a bit of fun.
  3. I put one of these in my shop. The light is incredible and the colors of items are true. I’m going to order two more and remove all other lighting. At $40 +/- a bargain.
  4. Go to your local auto mechanic who still or has repaired like engines. They will have a jar full of them on a top shelf. But the key is a mechanic who is older than 59! My mechanic knew immediately where his jar was. good luck. ps when you find that mechanic, NEVER forget where he is!
  5. View from corn spill in Minnesota.
  6. My new shop cat with the “make my day” attitude!
  7. Update: hand has healed, deep gash but flesh would only. A Shriner 50 miles north of me is looking for a Shriner parade vehicle.. he contacted me and is coming to see the Empi this coming Thursday. Interesting! Been working out feisty gremlins on the Suburban. Little things make a vehicle unsafe and are time consuming to find and resolve. I made some significant progress today. I can drive it, but not confident on some safety items. Love my floor shifter. So much better than on the tree in my opinion. to be continued on the other thread.
  8. Might but no can no longer surf board and other things. LOL however going to Moro Bay on Monday for an overnight at a motel. Only 2,5 hrs away, should go more often.
  9. I have installed so I sit centered to the steering wheel, yet it is a long reach to get into it. What have others experienced. My car is a ‘53 Plymouth. I agree with a later post, the head rests will go.
  10. Twelve (12) weeks. Just got to be there. It has changed from a gathering of Rams to a pilgrimage!!!!
  11. No, you might find the inner thread on the Phoenix site. But the axle swap was pre Phoenix (fire).
  12. So you are over age seventy (70). What most occupies your time?
  13. Oh the stories that car might tellLOL
  14. None any better than the other. But applications favor some over others I used one from an 98 Cherokee because I could mount it in line with my gutted out OE .master cylinder, as shown. In the truck it was a very tight fir when the proportioning valve was tucked in along side. On my ‘53 Plymouth the pedal shafts are part of the .master cylinder which is handy except the added MC top is above floor level. That poses two negatives, first air flow control from outside and cosmetics. I decided I could overcome both and installed accordingly. Had I selected a different style I could hang the reservoir on the firewall.so in summery, the issue is application not better or best. IMHO
  15. tracking starts with king pins and radial tires. Poor king pins cannot be overcome by anything, they are the very foundation. Everything multiplied out from bad kingpins.
  16. Probably the ones who believe smoke is placed into electrical wires!
  17. Sniper, so there may not be any air in the lines, the brake shoe distance requires more fluid than is available. I won’t do this, but would it be possible to disconnect the lines to the rear and have good pedal to the front? Front brakes do 70% of the braking. BUT without rear brakes, the car would spin in a hard brake, like a semi when the trailer brakes fail. Bad!
  18. Please explain how the mechanical adjustment of the rear brake shoes impacts the pressure of the fluid in the brake lines? TKS.
  19. Drove the suburban again today to test the shifter. I am very pleased. R and 1st so easy to use. Still have some cosmetic work on the handles but the mechanism is sound. Brakes are spongy, rebleed tomorrow and tendo some serious driving.
  20. Rusty Hope kit, fits the first time every time. Save your time and order a kit. That’s my recommendation.
  21. I have bought two kits from Rusty Hope. Would buy a third! Rusty is a part of this forum, a plus in my opinion.
  22. “I deleted my bypass oil filter, and will change oil as i see fit.“. So have I. Saves me money every oil change. Way back, Greybeard helped me rebuild my first engine. He taught auto mechanics and advised me not to keep the canister. He has been missed.,
  23. Sent this fan to friend in Australia. Gave it, he paid freight. Aussie detamination method.
