  1. well guys, YoungEd was kind enough to pull a ton of parts for me and today I spent 3 hours up there myself pulling parts. I bought all the parts from Ed he didn't want to keep/have calls for already. I'm gonna spend some time tonight and tomorrow going thru the haul and see what there is that I don't want/need. I'll PM you if you put a recent request in and let you know the deal. For sure tho I know this: the exterior wiper parts are staying with the electric wiper that he pulled for me. neither of us pulled the door lock neither of us pulled any wing window parts (sorry, I was already on the road when that was posted).
  2. taking mine apart there was no sealer on the windshield or the rear 3 windows.
  3. that's the company I ended up e-mailing. I was looking to get brass ones tho instead of nickle. thanks tho! If things fall thru I'll keep you in mind.
  4. thanks for the link, I e-mailed a different epay store about their options as well.
  5. will do that on the way up or back on Sunday.
  6. the local Menard's(es) I stopped at (4 of them) don't have the right size...all too small. ok so now i'll be search for hobby stores.... inernet searches for a supplier are fruitless...these seem to all be made in India and they don't respond! BOOO!
  7. stopped at Midwest Military yesterday to drop off an old bed strip as a template. They have the dies on site and will do whatever you want. They can go up to 10' long. Don't know if he'd do SS or not. These are the EXACT match for the originals, unlike all the others out there. He also has a limited supply of the correct bed bolts and strip bolt. John is a super nice guy and very knowledgeable about the parts that cross between our trucks and the military Dodges.
  8. just remember the parts we talked about for me! I claimed the fresh air last night! :D
  9. like the 23 year behind the counter would know! I recently had a discussion at a Vikes tailgate with a friend's buddy who is a Mpls cop...he has NO clue about the laws regarding classic vehicles. According to him "all classic vehicles" are only driveable on weekends. Clueless.
  10. I didn't lose mine, mine is on the engine! I lost my e-brake band mongo spring! Maybe YOU have it!
  11. I've gone the past 2 years (since I started to get into this), and if things go right I'll have my truck there this year as well. We'll see how far things get.
  12. welcome! The "Pilots Knowledge" section of this website has a ton of info as well. http://dodgepilothouseclub.org/know/know.htm
  13. welcome, I'm sure one of the old-timers here will have an idea for you. I think my truck had several different that would be considered "correct" since the shop manual had several listed in it.
  14. that sucks man, best of luck huntin' 'em down! That's why I prefer to pay and be paid by people w/ PayPal...about as foolproof as you can get even tho it's evil at times.
  15. I didn't know if they were quoting "equivalent watts" or true wattage, some halogens have done that to compare to incandescent. So thoughts if I do this eventually, I'd need to do some upgrades on the geni and add relays? Not an EE here (I'm an ME and hated circuits class) so please explain. My wiring is all NEW from RIwire...
  16. nice, I keep asking my parents if they have any old footage of my truck and they keep on saying "no". Considering all the slides I had to sit thru as a kid on "slide night" with my family you'd think....
  17. I *think* if you remove the floor boards you should be able to get them off with those out of the way
  18. you know us truck guys...always late to the party, I got hose from Andy Bernbaum's.
  19. they'd just paint what I sent them, I want it restored, so I'm doing the plating on the base and parts. Those parts wouldn't be taken off they'd just pop off the relays and go to town, not take it down to component levels.
