  1. Here's a before and after of my 33 Plymouth .
  2. Actually you want to make sure that the choke is fully open after warm up.
  3. I was getting ready to sell a BVXD-3 on eBay but will offer it here first. $45.00. Throttle shaft is tight and that spring is present. PM me if interested for photos. I tried to add the photos here but am getting a notice that I "cannot exceed 3MB" ……. even though the 2 photos only total 1.5MB's combined.

  7. Unscrew that tube with the knurled end and you will find a piece of felt that should be soaked with oil periodically.
  8. With that 134" wheel base I'd say that's a 1.5ton or more. Plug the vin number into this site and it'll tell you just what it is. http://www.t137.com/registry/help/decode.php

  15. Oh thanks Knuckleharley ! I've always liked this year too. My first car as a high school kid in 1966 was one just like this one. I had been looking for it or one like it for more than 40 years and finally found one on Craigslist out of Spokane, Washington. The seller had owned the car since 1958 and I got the car with the old tires he purchased way back then. Complete with whitewall paint. Here's a photo of my first '33 Plym.
  16. No, It has the original soft top. The roof is very dusty which is blending the 2 materials together. I've added dual horns now and a rear trunk.
  17. I took this old buggy "Gussie" out for a ride over to my brothers house the other day. 12 hilly miles each way.
  18. "With a auto" ??? Do you mean fluid drive ? I think 1954 was the first year for the Truck-O-Matic.
  19. My truck was converted to 12 volts 20 years ago. The 6 volt horn is working fine still. The only difference on 12 volts is it's a lot LOUDER than on 6 volts.
  20. By the way FlashBud.....that's one awesome junk yard !!!
  21. I have a $12.00 yearly add on to my J.C. Taylor insurance for my 5 old cars. It covers towing and roadside assistance. I just have to remember to bring my cell phone.
  22. Oh yes, I always make sure I have at least one of these in the truck. More is better.
  23. Just a FYI. Your 54 Dodge truck is not a Pilot House era truck but is a Functional Design era truck 1954-1956. http://www.members.tripod.com/dodgetruckguy/
  24. I wish I had one but they are spendy. Here's a small version on eBay right now.
