  1. Glad you could use them bach4669,whoever you are. Here's what mine look like after I recovered them and installed about 10 years ago. This was my work truck until about 2 years ago. They have held up well. Wish I had.
  2. Dave, There are two chrome shops within an hour of me here in Ca. 2 years ago one of them re-chromed this hood ornament for my 35 Dodge for only $75. Tripple plate. The company's name is AAA Plating in Sacramento,Ca. The other shop did a clock bezel ( 5" square) for $65 about a year ago. If you can't find anyone more reasonable in your area maybe you could ship your parts to these guys.
  3. Jen, I have several 51 and 52 Plymouths and might have the parts you need. I'm about an hour north east of Sacramento. I noticed in your photo a 51-53 Dodge Stake side truck. What's the scoop on it? Is it available?
  4. Here's one for sale on the Bay right now. Located in Calif. Very tempting. I wonder........Is a better trunk lid hard to find?
  5. And Hey !! It not only has the Bull Eye headlights but I see Willy's used the parking lights and bezel from a 48-50 Dodge truck. That's it.....I'm bidding.
  6. I like them alot Arthur. How much for a pair just like that? Reg

  11. I have 3 NOS cables of different lenghts. How long is yours? What do the ends look like?
  12. I just used a 50's 12 volt generator from a junk yard in my 52 pickup conversion. It's been working for about 15 years now.
  13. Congratulations !
  14. Looking good Jim !!! In record time too !!! WOW !!! Are you ready for a maiden voyage yet?
  15. Just for fun here's the batteries that powered my 24 volt electric pontoon boat motor. These ought to start an old Dodge on a cold winter morning. (4) 6 volt golf cart batteries hooked up in series.
  16. Dave, Would you send a photo of the caps you got from Blackburns. I'd like to see if they differ from the ones he sent me. Thanks, Reg
  17. Thanks Rob but I can't find them on eBay. It's probably OK though cause I'm really looking for the ones for a 42 model that have a different style of script in the center anyway.
  18. I poured a regular foundation and installed anchor bolts every 3'-6" so I'm not too worried about it taking off Bob . I'm more concerned about it getting closer to the ground in moderate to heavy snow. The rafters ,even with the extra (2) I added to their standard carport design, are at 3'-6" c.to c. Is there an Architect in the house that deals with snowloads? Gee...I was suppose to get a bldg. permit but somehow it slipped my mind.
  19. Rodney, I see you have a carport just about like the one I had installed yesterday. I noticed yours in the photo is undergoing a snow load test. Looks like maybe 6 to 8 " of accumuation on yours. Has yours ever had more snow on it than that? The snow load where I live is 30# per sq.ft. so I had them add 2 extra roof trusses and 4 legs (seat of the pants engineering). Normally we will only get maybe 6" of accumulation where I live but one year we got 18" all at once here in Sunny Calif. I'm just wondering and worring that maybe mine won't hold up to a freak snowfall.
  20. Ken, I still use Photobucket. I just copy the image URL and click on the lettle yellow box with the mountain range in it. This opens up an explorer user promp where I paste the image URL. Still have to get rid of the extra http. Here's your photo.
  21. Mee too. Thanks to all and especially Saint Gerald.
