  1. Great story Dutch. Glad you were able to bring it to Red Hook with you and are still enjoying it.
  2. I think even with the old forums the Pilot House forum was only about 1/10 as busy as the P15-D24. I've often wondered what the difference between the number of trucks vs cars being restored or on the road is. Are the trucks really that outnumbered?
  3. Sal Salerno........P15 Rubber Floor Mats......717-697-7757 (Day), 717-697-2002 (Eve.) Mechanicsburg, PA I copiy/pasted this from the links section here. I ordered one of these a year ago and it looked very good. I sold it along with the car before installing so I can't report on the fit.
  4. I've had that problem too. I ended up having to carefully grind some of the lining off with my bench mounted belt sander. Worked fine.

    Ebay

I've found many parts on eBay that I would never have found in my out of the way area. Examples....Clock for a 42 Dodge, Rear factory bumper for a 48-53 Dodge truck, parts for my 38 Dodge truck. Even at a swap meet you can't see every little item and will miss something you need. With eBay just type in a search and you're searching the whole country. I love it too !!!!
  7. Many thanks to your brave son. Another card was sent.
  8. Ian, Out in my garage I also found two more Mopar radios that are the same size and similar style as the #812. There's a #606 and a #813 so there's probably lots of others around too that would fit in the factory cutout. There's just only 1 610T on the face of the planet I guess.
  9. Job well done Jim on the picture posting and the brake job. An Ammco 1750 would come in handy right about now. Uh Oh...not that again !
  10. Is your truck still wired for 6 volt? If so ,a Mopar #812 form a 51-52 Plymouth might fit right in the factory hole. My 52 didn't come with the factory cut out so I haven't been able to confirm this. It sure looks close. There's one on ebay right now. #220050448122
  11. Well.....there's a Model 51 listed on the bay right now. It's at $25 with 1 bidder but the reserve is not met. # 190053334738.
  12. I've had 1 Study Hawk wheel cover hanging around here for a while and wondered if you need it. It's a beaut. Yours for the shipping cost.
  13. Sounds cool. Can't wait to see it !
  14. You nailed it Greg. I ran right over a rusty Benzel.
  15. The satellites are ok Don. It's just the tectonic plate movement being tracked by your new toy.
  16. Well Jim S and Bob K finally made it up here for Jim's maiden voyage. Shoulda stuck with the beer I guess. Sorry boys.
  17. And the damn barber really screwed up.
  18. It's a deal ! My shipping is Grass Valley,Ca. 95949 PayPal OK?
  19. Are these hood ornaments available for sale somewhere? I'd like to get a pair!
  20. Well, not really Norm......I strive to use all my tools as intended by the manufacturer unlike some high desert dwellers I've heard tails of. My businessman's coupe has proven to be an invaluable asset to my little firewood business.
  21. What a relief ! I can cancel my appointment with the shrink.
  22. Glenn, According to these folks those wheel covers are for a 51 Dodge car. Looks like they want a bundle for a set. http://www.hubcaps.org/dodgepass.html
  23. Yes Greg. The defroster didn't work very well unless you opted for the fresh air intake as shown on that brochure page I posted. I have these intake parts but have not installed them yet. Maybe this winter I'll stay off this site long enough to get er done.
