  1. They probably left the factory with black walls but I've already purchased new wide whites. The black walls do look great on your B series Woodie or Woody though.
  2. Thanks Pete. I'll email Tom.
  3. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&sspagename=ADME%3AB%3ASS%3AUS%3A1&viewitem=&item=200056783877
  4. The dodge truck engine is a 218 cubic inch engine and the 50 Dodge engine would have been a 230 c.i. The crank for your Dodge with fluid drive would be drilled for 8 bolts and the Truck engine without fluid drive would only have 4 holes. Both Plymouth and Dodge engines are the same length. Except for the large Dodge truck engines. They and Chrysler and DeSoto engines are 2" longer.
  5. Thanks Pete. So ya think if I just go in to Napa and ask for a Ford coil made for HEI they'll hand over the right part. I fear the "Blank Stare" I get without a part number.
  6. There are 2 on ebay right now.
  7. I ordered a HEI distributer from Langdons the other day. Included with the setup is a little square coil. I don't like the looks of it and wanted to get a regular looking coil from them but they were out of stock. Do I need something special or will a regular 12 volt coil work? What sort of plug wires should I get? It's for the 251 in my 52 1/2 ton.
  8. I know what you mean. I just ordered 4 new radial 750R 16's from Diamondback for my 42 coupe. $875 Took my rims into the powder coater yesterday and he wants $60 each ($30 to blast & $30 to coat)so I brought them back home to do my own sandblasting. Fortunately ,thanks to this forum I did sell my low mileage bias ply wide whites for $200 to offset some of this cost. Dave....your new tires, rims, and caps will be noticed and you will notice better handeling. That's what I keep telling myself anyway.
  9. That's pretty cool. I could use it this weekend to put up the darn Xmas lights.
  10. First try Rocketing Rabbit status 0.1888 average per dart. Not bad for an oldass.
  11. Yeah Bob......I'd better get it. But first I'll have to add on to the garage and then get back into the dating scene again. Maybe this line will work. Hey Babe...wanna come home with me and have a look at my old woodie.
  12. PLEASE !
  13. Thanks guys....keep um comin! I can see black paint under the chipped off yellow and the pinstriping is under the yellow paint too. Maybe they were black originally.
  14. I'm also trying to decide on tire size. Either 700 R16 or 750 R16 radial wide whites. What are your thoughts on tire size? I'm leaning towards the 750's for less rpm's.
  15. It's time to paint my chipped up rims and install some new radials on J Lo. I've never liked the rims being body color. I asked this same question a year ago. Guess my old brain needs to be defragged cause I can't remember the outcome of the votes. So...what's your idea of the ideal rim color?
  16. Sure does look solid. Wish I was closer. If it has the original seats in it they are worth the cost cause they are really really really hard to find. I need a set for my 40 Panel.
  17. Thanks for the heads up. I'll have a look see. I'm looking for the long bedside strip for my Sweptside. It's about 100" long.
  18. Yup....fits right in like it was made for it.
  19. "The Big Wheel" Mickey Rooney...1949 Lots of shop scenes. Restless and reckless, All grown up, Rooney stars as Billy Coy, the son of a famous Indianapolis 500 race car driver who died in a fiery crash in the last laps of the race.
  20. I get mine at NAPA.
  21. I'll buy the 602 radio. Email me off line if it's still available. Thanks, Reg
  22. Thanks Steve. Sure enough...less buttons.
  23. Nice van Tony. I didn't realize that a 54-56 grill shell would bolt to the 48-53 front fenders. I like the mid 30's artillary wheels too .....or maybe they are the same rims as on the trailer. Hey...the doors have the crease extending all the way back like the 48-50 US models.
  24. There is a similar thread on the other forum regarding what paint to use on fiberglass fenders. Can the same paint be used on the fenders as on the other steel body parts?
  25. Oh.....I just wondered if they looked different than an 802.
