  1. You are correct Nile. My 38 has a 51 or 52 D42 engine in it with a dismantled Sisson choke and a cheap cable and knob operating the choke. I'll get rid of that cable and maybe install a courtesy light there or something dumb to replace the dummy knob. There are 4 holes on the dash .....2 on either side of the key. Headlight,Panel Light,Dummy Knob, and ??? What's the 4th hole for on your 37 Nile?
  2. Thanks David ! I emailed you at home. From your photos I see more things missing on mine. What do the two knobs to the right of the ignition switch operate?
  3. If it has the vertical dial it's for the 48-50 models. If it has the horizontal dial it might.
  4. I have both parts you are looking for. Got any 38 Dodge car parts to trade? regoevans@sbcglobal.net
  5. Anybody have these or know of a parts car? . Spare tire bolt and bracket for behind the back seat . Choke cable and knob . Throttle cable and knob . Gauge cluster . Temp gauge . Clock . Glove box latch Does anyone sell a ready made headliner for this car? Thanks MoBros.
  6. I wanna get them both !
  7. Oh...I love what they've done with the place.
  8. 52% Barely Dixie.....born in northern CA., but moved to Maryland until the age of 6 and then moved back to CA. Dad was born and raised in CA. and Ma was born and raised in CT.
  9. WHAT !!! That's my favorite feature of the 57's. Why....I oughta.... Are ya sure? look again.
  10. Thanks for all the helpful information guys. My shoes are ready to be picked up from having them relined and hopefull I can put them all back together this weekend. My wheel cylinders are a little pitted but I'm going to go against my better judgement on this one and hone them out. The man that turned my brake drums says they were virgins....never turned before! Havent had any of those for a long long time.
  11. Yeah...glad you and the Cab made it ! Love dat CAB !
  12. Hey....I could use that front bumper and guards. Any idea who owns it????
  13. Yeah....1954 was the first year for the truck V-8's. A 241 semi-hemi. I'll betcha that yellow and black truck has a hemi.
  14. That's a really sleek looking boat Ed. You guys really did a nice job. I wonder where the boat is now?
  15. Hey.....make one out of sheet metal and line it with thin carpet for sound deadening. It'll last forever.
  16. Guess I got spaced out by this customized Mopar model 606 in my garage.
  17. My Mopar model 606 has those knobs on it. Early 50's Plymouth I think.
  18. OK Thanks. I'd would pay handsomely for 1 or 2 ! Trying to stay stock on my panel.
  19. Ed and Shel, Here's the type I'm looking for. Panel truck seats from the 30's-50's were all about the same. They have a metal back and they lift forward to access the back.
  20. I'm wondering if the Dodge van is still within your reach Shel. I'm looking for original front seats for one and would pay a pretty penny( a handsome sum) for a set.
  21. Thanks Phil ! That's what I thought but wanted to make sure. For some reason the rt. rear. on the car had them reversed and the rest were like the photo.
  22. Ed, I had (4) 6 volt golf cart batteries on board to run the 24 volt 130 lb dual prop trolling motor. I could go all day without discharging the batteries because of the (4) 750 watt panels on top. The only drawback was that it would take ALL DAY to get anywhere. Very quiet though. How fast would yours go? This ones top speed was 5 MPH.
  23. OK !! I don't like to fly so I'm going in this. 5 knots top speed. No gas though.
  24. Stop it LEE !!!! You're driving me crazy !!!! Now I have to go to Portugal on my way back from OZ.
