  1. I believe Plymouthy is correct. It was used as a noise suppressor and is not required for your gas gauge to operate as long as there isn't another problem with your wiring.Check the wire from your ignition to the gas gauge,it may need replacing as excessive current was passed through that wire.Toss the part in the picture you posted in the garbage...
  2. Nice work...I would consider using locking nuts on the bolts (nyloc)
  3. Kinda sounds like a sustained flutter blast..I'd try Greg's suggestion and go for dual glass packs
  4. I don't think the term,"bloke" would be taken as being offensive - did you accompany it with some adjectives?...or maybe with your American accent they mistook what you were saying...
  5. Chris,Not going to get into a debate about lubricants, but I bought a case of NAPA GL1 SAE 90 for my own use,(trans.lubricant).For some reason NAPA in Canada says they can't supply it?..I picked it up at a NAPA outlet in Cutbank, Montana.
  6. Andy, Sorry to hear you found it necessary to part with the Plymouth.Good to hear you're keeping the Dodge.Hope things improve..Ralph
  7. Bob,Nice to have the space to have kept the cars over the years.A good example of brand loyalty. (the vehicles) Frankie,Have to agree with ya...
  8. These are the mirrors I have fitted on my 48 Dodge. They are door edge mounted. They don't move around.I believe they are original to the car and were installed by the dealer, although they not MoPar mirrors. They are US manufacture and were on the car when I bought it.I've seen the same mirrors fitted on other vehicles of around the same age.I added the bubbles. While not perfect they work okay for me.They probably could be found at a swap meet or on ebay...
  9. Fred,Should be a good project.Advantage is plenty of parts available for Fox body mustangs.I have a 1986 Mercury Capri Rs 5L 5 spd.I bought it new and it's currently the newest car I have,(although I have a newer truck). They are a fun car to drive in the summer, not a car I would recommend for winter driving.
  10. This Fargo A100 is for sale in Alberta, has been for a while.Don't know anything about it other than what appears in the ad...Appears to be a "rare" project. http://alberta.kijiji.ca/c-ViewAd?AdId=463758512&utm
  11. .... Love old motorcycles.My first ride was a '49 Indian Arrow..Second was a '49 BSA B33...Then I got into cars,(The girls' parents didn't appreciate me showing up on a motorcycle)....So, I bought a car and off we went to the drive-in theatre .. I currently own a 1971 Bonneville.
  12. True,And I gather prices are high in Aspen
  13. An ad is currently appearing in the Regina Kijiji Classis Car ads for a 1933 Willys Coupe...Not mine. The ad says " already been offered 11 G's"..
  14. Don, If I remember correctly,it was you who first mentioned the comparison...
  15. ...Kinda like tickling the Amal
  16. " I did not cast a vote for the one question that said if you answered the prior one no, then don't need to answer this one. "... - My experience as well ,Bob. Other than that my opinions pretty much reflected the majority so far
  17. I guess a little "tweaking" can't hurt...After reading MacGyver's post I checked the link he provided. I have to agree with him,I kinda like some of the topics on that forum...For instance "Oil Threads", "Ride Reports" and "Complaint Dept" to mention a few. That said, whatever is decided is fine with me...
  18. Way to go Chris,Your exploits in the old Dodge are on the verge of becoming legendary, and you're having fun
  19. ...Good one Don
  20. ...Old No.777 at work
