  1. i agree 100% tim. imo the way the car looks in the pics it's not worth more than $5-600 max. providing it even runs.
  2. there is no way in hell i would paint it. hell people pay good money for patina airbrush jobs like this. ha it only cost me $300. i didn't get much done this weekend. i started to redo the front seat but got side tracked with my Duramax and my girls truck. here is the seat stripped down. i was going to try and just re-use the orig cushion but it was too far gone. SO i robbed the bottom off my K-20 seat. it's not perfect but it's better than what was there. i had to cut it down a bit to macth the seat frame and also add a small piece of foam to fix the re-entry burn from 40+ years of use. i'll still have to get some updated pics of it all covered up. the old cheese cloth and wicker junk donor oh and the girlfriends headliner in her exploder... yes that's tow mater and lightning mcqueen lol
  3. thanks man, i'm learning as i go. hmm i do have a power sunroof i'm not using lol. ha nope not married yet. i'm fortunate enough to have a girlfriend that like to be right in there with me. this is going to be her car, the day i brought it home she fell in love, she doesn't even want it painted lol.
  4. thanks kyle, yea hopefully i have time to get them done sat and sunday. i'm at least shooting to have the seats done. still tossing around ideas on how to do the headliner.
  5. very cool pics. things even looked simplier back then.
  6. well actually i'm trying to sell it. it was orig going to be a cummins rat/street rod. but that drivetrain went to the newer reg cab in front of it. that is whats under the car cover next to the bike. here are some pics of the tail light section. it's getting there. you can see some of the seat in this one before.
  7. sorry i still have more pics to update, got tied up with work tho haha. yea the bikes has been modded a bit the pick up is a 81 datsun ext cab before somewhat after
  8. ha well didnt' get to do much on the car this weekend. i got tired of the mess in the shop so we decided to clean it up and move some stuff around. i did manage to get the back seat wraped. i am really happy with the way it came out. also i started working out the rear tail light section.... and now i need a taillight bezel too . i also help my buddies son work on his 81 Datsun pick up. here are some pics to hold you guys over. i also took a few more of the bike too b/c i had a few questions on it. it's actually a 69 honda 175
  9. that looks sweet. nice and clean, the rolled beads give it a nice touch.
  10. thanks man, and i understand not everyone will like the interior but that is also part of the reason i did it haha. hey we all love pics right, even if it's a train wreck it's still cool to look at... or laugh at. more progress this weekend, hoping to have it all back together by sunday.
  11. haha. we actually sell it, it's made by thermo-tec. it is self stick and comes in a few different sizes. the roof was pretty cold but it stuck real nice. i even hit it with a torch to kinda form it a bit more and you couldn't even see any scorch marks. it's very workable and pretty stout too. http://www.xtremediesel.com/search.aspx?manufacturer=73
  12. hope everyone had a nice christmas. got a little bit done over the holiday. i got some heat barrier from work and did the roof and front floor pans. got my new rockers in, i kinda screwed up on the pass side but measured twice on the d/s before cutting finished off the bottom of the d/s floor pan cover w/ some old wheel tubs i had laying around. i also made a new engine and headlight harness. i used a headlight harness from a 67 chevy and random wires i had from a newer chevy harness. now i will be able to have parking and turn signals front and back. i also fit my new to me blinker assembly in there and will wire that up this week once i get a flasher. oh and i got little screw covers for all the door and trim panels. also picked up the fabric for the seats. i'm going to do the front in olive drab green and the back in poop brown, then the back of the front seat will alos be poop.
  13. i'm going to be using fabric batting. teh stuff i got is about 1/2" thick. i was going to stack it up to about 2.5" then wrap it so it's nice and tight yet still padded. stuff in the backround
  14. we just got the heat hooked up in our garage (i rent with a buddy of mine). for the past 3yrs we haven't had heat. ha i didn't even work on my truck for 3 months because it was so frigid in there. having an all metal building doesn't help much, hell it's colder inside than out. it aint much but it takes the chill out
