  4. thanks special deluxe! I dont know if it will fit. mine is a lowly 51 plymouth cambridge. i think the radio was the same but the mounting faceplate is different...i do want one though!
  5. man, i feel like I need a radio. i have the plymouth radio delete cover and people tell me that is nice, but since everything is original in this car as far as looks, and wiring as it is 6v positive...i would like to get me an original radio and see if I can get it to work. what do you think? do you guys use your original radio? or do you have an aftermarket? would it be worth the extra money to get an original radio in your opinion and in your experience? points of view are welcome regardsless how off topic they might be...
  6. congrats! taking the first drive is inspiring to us all! on a side note, you are fancy on the lawn chair...we use 5 gallon buckets round here!

  8. my plymouth was sitting for almost three years...i added gas, new battery and beat the starter and brooom it ran! so i say try it! flathead six engines are tough little engines...
  9. man, i do miss the driveway jokes and Norm's color glasses...and most of all Norm. with that said, i find it funny to see the boo birds. i imagine matching jackets and coordianted dance moves. but i mean no disrespect. I still think this forum is the most mellow down to earth that i commonly visit. i remember one thread about a starter and a fuel filter that went 10 pages long and it was funny but it ran people off the board. i dont know if thats the best way to go... cant we all just work it out?
  10. you gota post your auctions here first.
  11. No problem buddy! Im sure we will be seeing alot more of each other now that we are both running! BTW: we need to go get some food at a drive in!
  12. I have a rule of thumb, if someone posts a link, i dont bid on it...because it will be higher priced.(maybe if its at what i consider a good price) The Hamb has a rule to not post current epay links..like Don say is good for the seller and not for the buyer...but to each its own.
  13. ask them to double check me when you buy it. what i did, which is not a scientific method, is to pull both of the belts side by side..it looks to be the same size and the thicker belt is stamp 49 3/8" i was in a hurry to help Fedoragent to get his car moving! it was sitting for a while!!!!
  14. OLDDADDY, i have a 53 desoto. i would be interested.
