  1. My wife has the latest version of that- a Durango! (I'd definitely take the original, instead, but you didn't hear that from me!)
  2. Adapt and overcome! Good idea. And cheap is good!
  3. greg g; You mentioned that the throttle plate shaft bushings are not usually included in the rebuild kit. Do you know if they are available separately? From NAPA? Thanks.
  4. Roger, welcome. Those are definitely some neat rides. Your '76 Chrysler is very unusual to me. I like the lines. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but someone stuck the steering wheels on the wrong side!
  5. Well, ya went gone and done it! Of course, you realize there's no going back. Once you're in, you're in! You'll have fun with that and it's gonna be cool when you're done. Nice find!
  6. That's cool! I like the 4 digit phone number. Did they answer on one long ring or two shorts?
  7. You have a very pleasant place to walk in the morning. That should make it easier to do on a regular basis. Nice sunrise, too. Great way to start the day.
  8. Do you know for sure the battery is good? Have you done a load test on it? It might crank enough when cold and then when warm just doesn't have enough oomph. That can give ya fits!
  9. Not so fast- you're not done yet! After you get it all back together and drive it, let us know how it works. Thanks.
  10. You might be able to buy a whole car for less than just a windshield. Some guy parts out a car thinking it's his retirement income and want 3 kinds of prices for it and then the next guy just wants that old car out of his yard. Ya never know.....
  11. I just took the engine & trans out of mine. They both leaked enough that alot of the goo was pretty soft. But not all of it! Yeah, it's some tough stuff!
  12. Put the car, I mean pile of parts, in the shed/garage, take off the wheels and put it on blocks and take the doors off. Voila!! A pile of parts! I hope this all works out so you can keep it and still get a settlement. Keep us updated.
  13. I had an uncle once who had about a '30 Ford truck with a little house on the back very similar to that. Complete with wood burning stove. It was his huntin' rig.
  14. Dang! Is it time for the fair, already? Oh, well- I don't have the OD in yet, anyway.
  15. Welcome! I'm with you- I wouldn't change a thing about that car! It's beautiful!
  16. Don, I would think it would be very obvious to you: it's gotta be a late 'teens or early twenties "Crashler"! Nyuk, nyuk!!
  17. Got a question- Some are using "hard" lines and "soft" lines. Are the hard lines supposed to be for brake lines and the soft ones for vacuum and fuel lines? I don't have a clue, myself. Just was thinking maybe the hard stuff was for the high pressure you'd see in brake lines. Maybe it doesn't matter.
  18. Duh, won't listen to what? Yeah- I know what you mean!
  19. Cool! All dressed up AND someplace to go!
  20. BrakeKleen will knock the dog out of bees right now! So will GunScrubber. It's way to expensive , though.
  21. Good idea! A little insurance you hope you never have to use.
  22. It's a long time since I've been there! Will look forward to the info about July 17th. Thanks.
  23. What 49roadster said. Turn the wheels a hard right and you can get to 2 bolts that stick straight down through the flat area of the fender liner. You'll probably feel them before you see them, especially if you have eyes and glasses like mine!
  24. The before and after pictures are great! And all the history to go along with makes it that much better! Thanks.
  25. Looks like alot of fun for a great cause. Where was the first picture showing a card draw? It looks familiar.
