  1. I like it...looks well done and fun to drive!!!
  2. Why bother with a gazebo?? The wife will love this!! "Only" $2500:rolleyes: http://winnipeg.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-classic-cars-UNIQUE-A-Half-Car-For-that-special-place-W0QQAdIdZ213725906#
  3. My industrial engine has no number on that spot.
  4. A local auto wrecker sends 3 or 4 containers a year to OZ full of muscle cars and parts. He has no trouble at all from this end.
  5. The tall and level stance of the DeSoto is nice for a change. Two nice ones...thanks Greg!
  6. Another older lady not to be messed with...only in Canada, eh? A Canadian woman fed up with her neighbors’ 5-year-old grandson driving a loud up quad ATV up and down her quiet street for hours has decided to deal with the two-year feud by flashing her bare breasts at the child. Marika De Floria of Seeley's Bay near Toronto told CNews that because police wouldn’t do anything about the “maddening” ATV noise, she decided to go outside topless every time the kid rides the vehicle on her street. As soon as she’s spotted naked from the waist up, the boy’s horrified grandparents pull the child inside. De Floria says it’s the bravest thing she’s ever done. The 56-year-old is not breaking the law, according to police, because it in legal for women to be topless in public in Canada. Neighbors Mike and Nancy Berry claim that there needs to be a “little give and take” among neighbors because “it’s not right to go around topless in front of kids.” OK, who’s the boob here?
  7. Looks good, Tim. I'd love to have one of those...especially at that price! What does the shop vac do? Haven't seen one attached to a cabinet blaster before.
  8. I think it's the Barrett-Jackson Syndrome. They think if it's old, it's worth about a years college tuition for the kid. Reversed if they are buying. Same crap up here...
  9. Can you post a link to the video again?? I can't find it
  10. Fred I have this "Peckat" style visor that has end brackets that are split and unusable from not having the center bracket installed. The two main visor panels and the center strip which will accommodate the center bracket are still fine. If you need these two panels and the center strip to cobble a usable visor, you are more than welcome to them. This is the style of visor I have. The ends are split and no good, though
  11. Great to be able to spend some good times with your dad. I was able to also spend some good times with my dad. He's been gone for some time now but I'm SO glad we took the time to do things together. So many folks put that off until it's too late. Keep the pictures coming and keep making the time to get together with your dad to do the outings to take the pictures!!!
  12. I'm wondering....if it has a fixed pillar, full front seat and 2 jump seats, if it was reconverted back to a regular 8 passenger sedan or if someone affixed a Sedambulance nameplate to a regular 8 passenger sedan when the incorrect side trim was added? Or is this some kind of special McClintock conversion of some kind? I really like the 54 pictured, nice condition and a classy car.
  13. Here's a "Sedambulance" at work: The pillar between the front and rear doors on the passenger side is removed, latched at top and bottom, bucket seat in front, single jump seat behind driver and full rear seat. Stretcher goes in passenger side. This one is a Dodge at work on the north approach to the Center Street Bridge in Calgary. It may or may not be an actual "Sedambulance". The real "Sedambulance" conversions were done by F. H. McClintock of Lansing Michigan. I have a feeling the "Sedambulance" trim on the 54 Windsor here was put on when the side trim was put on...just a guess.
  14. The ticking seems normal and harmless. Most Mopar flat sixes I have heard do it.
  15. My old 49 Chrysler would light 'em up in first gear with the M6...especially on the new asphalt at the 7-11 on Osborne. Must have been hard on that old Mopar but it was sure fun.
  16. Looks like fun, Fred. I see sunshine! We had some today...might get some tomorrow but then back to the rain. Trans Canada Highway is flooded out bad near the Alberta/Saskatchewan border. Drought last year, flood this year...crazy Did you miss the rain in Lake Country??
  17. Hey, I used to LOVE scaring old folks!...now I are one!!! Now THAT'S scary Fred, cute little one...spend all the time you can with them!
  18. Isn't that the way the legal system works?? The victims are all but ignored, and self defense is a crime
  19. As is my habit now, I checked Snopes to see what they have to say. http://www.snopes.com/crime/prevent/waspspray.asp
  20. For that amount of money, I could comfortably retire...as long as I didn't live past 72!
  21. These stories are never boring...keep 'em coming. The history surrounding them and the way life was when they were part of life never gets old. Thanks for the old pics, really enjoyable. Pat
  22. Good score, Joe I think half the fun of this hobby are the road trips for cars and parts. Going places and meeting nice folks you wouldn't otherwise meet. And looking at the car and knowing where all those parts came from adds to the enjoyment
  23. Welcome!! Those underside picks reveal a true survivor in incredible condition. Usually those areas are literally gone...rusted away decades ago. Your car is like new!! Congrats...enjoy the new ride.
  24. Welcome. Other than being 12 volt, it's the same as any other Canadian or US 25 inch block. On the block, just behind the generator and below the head is the engine number. Frequently these engines are not the original, so if you post the engine number it can be ID'd for you. Nice car, not many left...they were very prone to early and extensive rust. If you find a good parts store with a good parts man who still knows and has paper catalogs, many parts are still available locally. You don't need to send away for everything and there are a few good Canadian sites for parts to avoid the border expense and hassle when you do have to send away.
  25. On my car, I had to take one side to a machine shop to get the kingpin out, the other side came out easy of course. I took the other side down to them as well and got them to install both kingpins. Money well spent and the neighbors didn't learn any more new words:eek:
