This has come up before and I posted some reference pictures.
The D25 bumpers are definitely different to P15 bumpers. Same cross-section, but not the same brackets or bolt positions.
Here's a link to my earlier post.
I hope this helps... -
I'm in West London.
Check out our facbeook page at www.facebook.com/4648PDDCUK - we set it up for 46-48 cars but there are plenty of other flathead owners on there from the UK and overseas. You'll be welcome.
We also get together one a year, in September (at The P-15 Picnic). Drop me a an email and I'll send details to you. -
Always good to see another UK member on here.
Hope to catch up with you somewhere soon.

Thats a 1941-48 MoPar convertible arm and bracket....it's not the same as truck... even the bracket though it looks the same... the visor arm is at a slightly different angle between the two.
The lower one is Plymouth convertible, in my car.
The upper one is different, although the bracket's the same. That's the one I'm trying to ID.
Thanks.- 1

Thanks Brent.
Those arms are close and would probably be OK as a last resort if we can't ID the version with the U-bend.
As you say, somebody out there will know. I hope!
All the best from England,
Robin

Hi All,
I'm here from the other side! (I'm usually on the car Forum). Can anyone help to ID the bracket shown at the top in this picture? I believe it's from a Dodge truck but I don't know which year.
I'm helping a friend to source parts for restoration of a 1947 Plymouth convertible and I have this spare bracket which is very close to the stock item, but we don't know what to look for, as a match for the driver's side.
Thanks for any help you can give.

It'd be a very long trip for most of you but if anyone's in the UK next September, you'll be very welcome to join us at our P-15 Picnic.
We'd love to meet you!

Big thanks to Chris, Dean & Robin for organising the weekend, looking forward to next year.
Nice photos........
Mines the '48 grey business coupe which was imported to UK in 2011 and I've owned since 2013. It came out of the LA plant, I only know some of it's history from the late eighties onwards gleaned from a large wad of receipts that came with the car and it seems it spent most of it's time in the San Francisco bay area with owners living in Freemont, Oakland and Los Altos that I know of.
That would make a nice toolbox/bumper sticker?
Regards to all ............ Simon.
It's good to hear that you enjoyed the weekend, Simon.
Thanks again for the great pictures.
Glad you like the flag design... I guess we'll have to think about stickers!- 1

A VERY nice display of 40's Mopars,but might I make a suggestion?
Maybe you could change the picnic name to "P-15/D-24 Picnic",or even "40's Mopar Picnic"? You might draw cars from people that aren't club members that way.
Suggestions are always welcome but this one's definitely going to remain as The P-15 Picnic.
The three of us who organise it are all Plymouth owners and the initial concept was a meeting for P15s. We widened out the invitations after a (very reasonable) request from William (AKA Norman Pitkin) to include Chrysler and the other Mopar brands.
There are plenty of broader car meets over here, and we wouldn't turn anyone away, but we all enjoy the exclusivity and scale of this gathering, and it's got a unique personal feel.- 5

We just held our 4th Annual P-15 Picnic in England and were honoured to be joined by well known Plymouth enthusiasts Mark & Tracey Duggan and Greg & Kathy Gonya, who travelled from the US to spend the weekend with us.
35 people and a very nice selection of cars arrived at the hotel on Saturday and we enjoyed a drive out to Twinwood Airfield, where we had arranged a private group visit to the museum buildings and preserved control tower. Twinwood is an historic WW2 site, the airfield from where Glenn Miller departed for France on his ill-fated flight in December 1944.
On Saturday evening we all shared a lovely dinner and drinks, rounded off with a light-hearted quiz, courtesy of William and Biddy.
Sunday morning saw more cars meet us at the hotel before we left for a 30-minute cruise to Old Warden Aerodrome and The Shuttleworth Collection, which is one of the world's finest collections of airworthy vintage aircraft. The guided tours we took were highly informative and the range of aircraft, cars, motorcycles and other items on display is remarkable.
The final tally of 46-48 Mopars was:4x Plymouth Business Coupes
4x Plymouth Club Coupes
1x Plymouth 2-Door Sedan
1x Plymouth Convertible
1x DeSoto SP15 Club Coupe
1x Dodge 4-Door Sedan
1x Chrysler Club CoupeThere was a nice selection of 'guest cars' too.
Dean, Chris and I will announce details of next year's P-15 Picnic as soon as we can.Come and join us... Everyone's welcome!
With thanks to Simon and Colin for the pictures...

Is he mechanically inclined? One of the rules of old car ownership is "Sooner or later, you are going to need to mechanic on it!". Usually at night, in the rain, in a sketchy part of town.
Henry will become more mechanically inclined now he owns this!
He's happy to get stuck into technical stuff, and welcomes the challenge. -
I'm thrilled that my 18 year-old son has chosen to embrace the old car hobby.
He's just bought his first car... a 1967 Triumph Herald 12/50.
It's got an 1147cc (70 Cu In) 4-cylinder motor, front disc brakes and an incredible 25ft turning circle. And it's almost exactly the same size as a VW Beetle, so it's a perfect little car for running around the streets of London.
We just grabbed this picture in the sunshine...- 7

Robin is the overdrive a R7 or a R10? I think I might have a wiring diagram for the R7 shift rite on the shift knob somewhere here on the computer if you need it.
Mine's an R10.
Thanks for the message but it's all wired in and running. -

let me fix you up with a few Spitfires...lol.....got to love Giovanni Michelotti.....they are a timeless design....
My 18 year-old son is just about to collect his first car... a 1967 Triumph Herald
It's another Michelotti classic.
And we've found a beautiful example with only 38K on the clock! -
Hey Damon,
I have the original white flashers at the front but have supplemented them with small amber flashers bolted to the bottom of the bumper guards.
At the back, I fitted white 'reverse' lights but added amber bulbs. They have the 'right' period look and other cars seem to notice them easily.
Hope this helps.
Robin
PS I had a look around your car at Colin's place... It's a real beauty!
Business coupe vs Club coupe
in P15-D24 Forum

A couple of other details that will help...
The business coupe has flat rear window glass. A club coupe will have a larger, curved rear window.
Business coupes have a swage line that runs from the doors along the rear 3/4 panels above the stainless trim towards the rear lights. The swage line on the club coupe goes along the doors then around under the rear window.
