  1. You will have to switch the wires on the amp gauge and the coil. There is some info on the main site, go to the home page and on the left you will find it. There has been much discussion on 12 _ conversions previously so it shouldn't be hard to find. Good Luck on your project. Brendan.
  2. I was reading about this guy today from a post on another forum, very interesting guy. The video is worth watching.
  3. They are scarce, I do have one in a picture frame in my garage. Brendan.
  4. Bob, I guess the guy that had it for sale on 2006 must have sold it, as it now has a different liscense plate #. Wide whitewalls have been added also. Brendan.
  5. Nice link, Dennis, thanks for posting. Re the Airflow pic # 20. He says the Airflow was produced from 1932 to 1937, is this correct? I thought it was less than that. In the previous pic of the Airstream he mentions that it was introduced one year after the intro of the Airflow. Brendan.
  6. Maybe "he" was too busy driving and "she" was operating the vacuum advance!
  7. That is quite a car Robert. If you decide to buy it, I will drive it to Lethbridge for you, for expenses. That 49 Chrysler is nice too. Brendan.
  8. Back in the day, there were " baby moons " and " full moons. "
  9. Great minds think alike, Fools seldom differ!
  10. Maybe Don C. will buy it, I have a sneaky suspicion that he is going to build a Rat Rod!
  11. I also used weatherstrip adhesive, so far so good.
  12. That is a beautiful car Lou, 50's style with a few modern touches. This one I seen on another site, looks similar.
  13. My motto with tools is "Neither a Borrower or Lender Be" but that mostly goes for family who always forget to return and after awhile think they own it. I treat my friends better that family.
  14. Welcome Jeff, hope you enjoy this forum as much as I do. I checked your profile and like your truck. Looks sharp with those colours. 73, VO1BMC. Brendan.
  15. Maurice, would it be Plasti-Coat? It seems I have seen that paint somewhere, maybe Wal-Mart or building supply. Brendan.
  16. Welcome Cpt. Fred and deadbodyman. I think you guys will like it here as there is a wide variety of members with mopars from the 30s to the sixties, restored, custom, hotrodded, etc. Enjoy, Brendan.
  17. Actually Robin, you might be on to something there. As the car is moving the tassel will spin around keeping the headlights clean! :D
  18. Norm, help could be on the way. It snowed like that a few years in Toronto and they sent in the Army to shovel snow.
  19. Good score Gary. It looks original, what year Packard is it (37)? What is the plan for it , restore or street rod or drive as is? Brendan.
  20. That's quite a collection. I bet you enjoyed that visit, I know I would. Thanks for sharing. Brendan.
  21. I think Ed already has a campaign manager. Where are you Mr. Coatney? Congratulations on the article Ed.
  22. Don, the paint job looks good. Where the Special Deluxe emblem goes I can't see any holes. Are they filled? Also it looks you filled the center of the hood for a smoother look. What brand of paint and colour did you use? Brendan.
  23. Thanks for that tip Don C. That gives me a good reason to hang on to a starter I have from a 39 Plymouth. Just in case, Brendan.
  24. That is a wild looking rig, Fred. That will get you to the shop in a hurry. Is it 47 or 48 Hudson? Brendan.
