  1. Sure is quite a piece of craftmanship. The name of the car " Atlantis" can be seen on the carpet mouldings. There was a write up in Old Autos on it a while back. Thanks for sharing Pat.
  2. That 31 is a beautiful car, knuckleharley. It seems it was meant for you to have it and I like your idea of maintaining it much as it already is. A good cleaning will do wonders for it. I guess if you want to go fast there is probably an old knucklehead in the garage.
  3. The year before last I went to Wal-Mart and found some gray material at a good price and brought the seats to a local upholsterer. She charged me $250 for both seats.
  4. Robert you could easily make room for the truck. You could send the 48 to me. I'll pay for the shipping, and will maintain it for you. Did you get a close look at the 54? It looked to be in decent condition. I'm heading for Sasketchewan tomorrow and will be on the road for about 4 or 5 weeks but not expecting to be in your area this time.
  5. So Robert I guess you didn't bother with the 32.
  6. Hello Ed, it's so good to see you active on this forum again. I used to have your site bookmarked but lost it then lo and behold you show up. I really like your P15 and what you have done to it, I bet it's a nice runner. Interesting project you have going there now. Is the rear part from a Ford? I will be following your progress. Good Luck with it, Brendan.
  7. Good Luck with your D25. Is the grille in yours stainless steel or potmetal? In the pics it looks like a D24 grille. Do you have any close pics of the front? Keep us posted on your progress. Brendan.
  8. The Daimler sp250, I think is a fairly rare car and will probably be a tad expensive. There is one here that I think is all original and hasn't seen the light of day for about 40 years. I did look it up on the net a few years ago and if I remember correctly the production numbers was low. I think they are also called Daimler Dart.
  9. I am not a purist, but it looks like somebody fu**ed up a nice car! UGH!
  10. I think the proper name for those pieces is " splash pan aprons ".
  11. I am not familiar with the DeSoto dash, but if there is pitting it's a good chance it is made of potmetal and is chromed.
  12. I saw a post on the H.A.M.B. where a guy soaked his with water and got them off. I sent a PM to Capt. Fred about it, don't know if he tried it, it sounds crazy but water might do the trick.
  13. Sure do remember Pizza Frank. Sorry to hear of his failing health. Thanks for posting Don.
  14. Thanks John, I have it bookmarked and will read up on it tonight.
  15. It's been awhile since I bought a master cyl. I have a new one sitting on the shelf from an 80 Chev van and it looks like the one in the pic you posted. I might have to contact them and see if they will sell just the bracket and what master cyl they use, it would cut the shipping cost down if I could get it this way.
  16. Interesting, I am sure a lot of guys would be interested in this, could you provide a little more info?
  17. $275.00 plus *$25.00 for standard= $300.00. All the 40s Mopars listed have clutches, so why don't they just say $300 for the kit?
  18. Well you found the best forum on the web for your car. Looks like a solid car and you did a good job on your profile. Cheers, Brendan.
  19. I forget the name of it but Ithink it was an option on 40 or 41 Chevrolet. Maybe the "one hander".
  20. As a wise Guru of the P15-D24 once said " it's like eating an elephant, you do it one bite at a time":D (Don C.). Good Luck and keep us posted on your progress. It's amazing the knowledge that is on here to help you. Hmm, another D25:cool: it might soon be time to ask GTK to change the name of the site to P15-D24-D25. Brendan.
  21. When I did my inner and outer rockers year before last, I copied the shapes with coat hanger wire and brought them to the local steel shop and bought a sheet of 18 gauge and had them cut and bent by them for about $100. Good Luck on your project. Brendan.
  22. Ahh the memories, the "screamin jimmy"! That's what I started out on in the seventies, with two sticks. Later moved up to a V12 with 13 over, and a sleeper, didn't have to sleep on a piece of plywood anymore.
  23. I think you are talking about the headlight high beam indicator light.
