  1. I can't help but laugh...I had the owner of the Ford Dealership at the house and he was quite impressed with the carving I did on the window trim...
  2. Here's the history of the V8 engine http://www.allpar.com/mopar/hemi/chrysler-hemi.html Why use a Flat Head when you can use a HEMI
  3. My parents had the same fridge when they got married, but had the matching freezer. I bought their old house 35 years ago and got the the fridge with it. The last tenant that rented the house had their own fridge so this one was put in the basement. I know that makes this another Ran when Parked story..... <(*o^)>
  4. Hi Pete ....I don't know if you got your oil pump fixed, but I thought I'd let you know there is on on ebay......(it's not mine, just thought I'd tell you) #180111185584 Or try this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1938-59-Dodge-Desoto-Plymouth-Oil-Pump-6-cyl-NOS_W0QQitemZ180111185584QQihZ008QQcategoryZ6778QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Ian PS ...Good Luck
  5. If you've never been track side and see ...I mean feel a top fuel do a run .....wow. I couldn't believe it! But don't forget your ear plugs. If you can, try to get a pit pass and watch them get the cars ready for the next race. A real interesting weekend when it's a top fuel event. I managed to camp fairly close to the pit area and could see all the teams arriving. Quite an enjoyable weekend, what I can remember. :D
  6. I forget who sent me this 6 door, but you don't see them every day. Ian
  7. John that looks like a 49 second series. There is a lot more room between the frame rails of the Coronet. Is there any issues with the steering box? I found a 283 with 2 speed glide tranny that I was thinking of using. And as per the original question the answer is yes the rad support was cut and re-welded when someone put a plymouth engine in. Ian
  8. The family is blocking the front of the car and the picture is taken back in the 40's, but you can still see the wiper pointed to the outside. Ian
  9. I live in northern Ontario about 1000 miles east of Fred and 250 mile northwest of Tim. If we don't see -40 its been a real mild winter. It's kind of hard to describe how it effects things. Our house makes a loud cracking sounds. It's hard to see in my photo but the thermometer is pointing to -40. Check out the frost on my storm door and around the edge of the window by the thermometer. Even our lake gets 3 to 4 feet of ice on it every year and people drive all over in 4X4 trucks to go fishing. It reminds me of the joke about the Kie Kie Bird.....and out of the forest comes the cry of the Kie Kie bird....."KIE-KIE"......"KIE-KIE" "Christ It's Cold!" Sorry guys I couldn't resist..... Ian
