  1. Take a trip with your ride to an upholstery shop, they think in that mind set all day long and they just may come up with some creative ideas if you can leave the car, or other wise Duluth Trading has a selection of "throw over the top of the seat" holders for everything. Good Luck!
  2. Looks Like a Browns Plating job from Paduch Kentucky. Whatz da prize?? LOL
  3. An FYI Update- We went ahead and took a chance and used the original 1980 225 CI alternator that is rated at 60 amps since writing our original post and are proud to say that we haven't had any issues thus far...
  4. Looks Great! I've done the same type of project w/a 225 Slant, 904, and the original donor rear. Works out great doesn't it? Just was able to get ours fired the other day 9/7.
  5. Your master cylinder isn't fully "releasing" meaning the piston isn't returning to the neutral position (could be a push rod adjust as previously suggested) releasing the the system fluid pressure or the same thing is happening in the wheel cylinders. The wheel cylinder piston(s) is jamming in the bore due to residuale water in the system from sitting or needing a change? Good Luck! Bruce 47 2 Door Coupe
  6. A portable hoist- they were used in the 20's-30's before they got smart and started digging "repair pits" to work under cars. The portable hoist's were popular as they could be towed to "your" location to repair your car. I remember seeing them in Michigan as a kid. '47 2 Door Coupe
  7. GROUNDS GROUNDS GROUNDS! We have found that almost all of the hard start warm issues were resolved w/a fuel issue but if that doesn't check out its a bad or faulty, dirty. loose ground conductor. Engine to frame, body. Grab the -NEG- battery cable w/a helper cranks the engine- if the cable even gets warm- ground! Good Luck!
  8. Greetings! Can anyone tell me for sure what year FRONT bumper brackets will work on my '47 P-15 coupe? We can't seem to locate any FRONT bumper brackets specifically for our '47 rat rod. These brackets seem really hard to find!?!? At least when we call out for fronts they seem tough to find? They can't all have been wrecked? We are seeking hood hinges too. Thanks! '47 2doorcoupe
  9. ANYBODY- Can we use the original 1946-'48 P-15 35 amp gauge with a 1980 60 amp alternator? Looks like it's hefty enough to take the amp spikes? Otherwise I'll have to use/swap out the guts from a 60 amp gauge and that's a lot of work... Thanks!! '47 2 Door Coupe
  10. Anyone~ Can I run the original 35 AMP gauge with a late model 60 amp alternator or will it burn it (overload the gauge) out? The internals of the gauge looks pretty "hefty" as if it might take the amprege spikes? Thanks!!! Bruce '47 2 Door Coupe
  11. Thank You All For Your Input- I'll be looking for a wiper mtr. from a D-24 Thanks Again! '47 2 Door Coupe
  12. Greetings! Does anyone know if the '46 thru '48 P-15's ever were offered with an electrical wiper motors? Thanks! '47 Plymouth 2 Door Coupe Bruce mrhubcap@hotmail.com
  13. Greetings! We finding that a KNOWN GOOD left {drivers} door latch assembly OEM #944-051 is pretty tough to find! We have been thru 4 and as yet & can't seem to find any one that knows the difference between good used and "junk". 1947 P-15 2 Door Coupe. Can anyone help? Mitchell has them NOS, but I don't have a banker friend and need to eat for the next couple more weeks ?!?? Thanks! Bruce 505/268-0001 9-5 MST N.M. mrhubcap@hotmail.com
  14. Greetings! I just stubbed my '47 Coupe with a Volare front end this past week end! Might drop me a line or give a call. I've got some pics that I can send too. Bruce mrhubcap@hotmail.com 505/268-0001
