  1. Generator goes on the other side of the bracket? Crank pulley not pulled all the way on? Just guesses. Enjoy the YouTube channel, btw.
  2. I’d be willing to bet sealed power could make you a set of moly rings. Probably wouldn’t be overly expensive, as I’m sure they have stock rings in the right sizes, just not in the right kit form. Guess it depends what your expectations for the engine are. Certainly any of the options will seal well. Pay attention to hone pattern/grit as it pertains to different ring materials.
  3. +1 on the Nikasil and moly rings. Last forever. Perhaps the stock style long pistons could be lightened a bit? I would think the longer piston would contribute to less wear, provided it wasn’t overly heavy.
  4. The Ignitor II module is definitely the way to go. Much more robust construction than the Ignitor I
  5. Pete, thanks for the measurements. That should get me close enough to experiment. Kevin
  6. Pete, that looks like exactly what I need. I’d love if you could take a few dimensions when you get a chance. No rush. Currently building an engine for it. Thank you! Kevin
  7. Thanks so much, Andy. Mine would definitely be a bit different, as it would mount pretty much flat on the trunk floor. Guess I’ll have to keep searching or start experimenting. I appreciate your response!! Kevin
  8. Andy, does the “tongue” stick up from the base somewhat? To clear the latch piece “scooping” in under it?
  9. Thanks, Andy! Some measurements would suffice. Of course if you had an extra that would be great. Kevin
  10. Andy, here’s a pic of what I have. Hopefully it posts ok. John, I’ll try them. Thank you all!
  11. Hello all, long time lurker, first time poster. I have a 39 P8 Deluxe. I am in need of the trunk latch part that bolts to the trunk floor. I see there are a couple on eBay, but $200 seems outrageous for a rusty bit. Offered the seller $50 (still outrageous), but no interest. Anyone know where I might find one? Alternatively, anyone willing to take a few photos and detailed measurements of theirs, such that I might machine one? Would be willing to make extras if anyone else would like one.
