  1. Just got a copy of the build record for my truck (attached). Does anyone know what size the original was and what type of paper they used? I'm trying to decipher the drive (LRD), model (T13), use eng. symbol (E-149), body type (COWL), axle ratio (5/4), wheels-tires---size and ply (DL.DISC 6.00X20-6GDYR.), paint code (RED.), and extra equipment (INQ. I3463 B. CARR AUX SPRINGS DUP.CLNR. CHROME F. BUMPER, RAD & HDLIGHTS.). LRD = ? model = T13 [T13 is the first part of the motor number (T13-7512), T = truck, T13: Make = Dodge Truck, Model = KH 16-18V, KH 21-23V, KH 31-33-V; T-13 is also part of the engineering cod (T-13-E), T = truck, 23” long, 201 ci] eng. symbol = E-149 = ? (the wheelbase is 149” so maybe it’s related to that) body type = COWL = chassis cowl = what is this? axle ratio = 5/4 = ? wheels-tires---size and ply = DL.DISC = I assume disc wheels (as compared with spoke wheels) wheels-tires---size and ply = 6.00X20-6GDYR. = I assume this is the size of the front tires = 6.00X20, 6 ply, Goodyear. I have 6.50-20 tires on the back. Anyone know the number for red paint in 1935 extra equipment = INQ. I3463 = ? extra equipment = B. CARR = ? extra equipment = AUX SPRINGS = ? extra equipment = DUP.CLNR. = ? extra equipment = CHROME F. BUMPER = chrome front bumper (?) which it has extra equipment = RAD & HDLIGHTS. = radiator and headlights = ? thanks, -- Brian

  6. Thanks. I have a 1935 truck and I'm using non-ethanol gas. All of the manuals I have say .025". I have points so should I set the gap to .032"? thanks, -- Brian
  7. Thanks. I bought Autolites but I gapped them at .025" as per the manual. Should I adjust them to .035"?
  8. I have a 35 Dodge truck. thanks, -- Brian
  9. Can someone assist me in decoding the engine in my 1935 Dodge Truck (model KH-32V): engine number: T13-7512 casting date: 8-12 number on lower casting: 107 block casting (?): 882929-2 The body tag number is B-3-0-LR15988, the engineering code is T-13-E (I believe this means it's a 201 in^3), and the serial number is 8239904. I'm trying to determine what spark plug replacements to get. The manual says S9 and there are J-8s in the truck now. I believe it's a cast iron flathead. thank you, -- Brian
  10. Thanks! As I fill the gas tank, I’m getting a change in resistance at both the sending unit and at the wire that goes to the dash (and the numbers match). The wire from the ignition switch to the fuel gauge has a star lock washer, but the one from the sending unit does not. I’ll clean up the bolts and add new star lock washers.
  11. Agree. Any recommendations for how to do that? There is one wire coming from the sending unit. How do I ground it? And how do I group the dash unit? Do I add an extra ground wire? Thanks in advance.
  12. Thanks! I think the dash fuel gauge needs to be grounded properly. Is it grounded when installed in the dash or do I need to add a separate grounding wire (there isn't a separate wire there now)? Will the grounding be affected by the rusty bolts and nuts on the gauge?
  13. Does anyone have a fuel gauge for a 1935 Dodge Truck? Or have suggestions as to who might have one?
