Well you might count yourself lucky then, these are well-known for basically being trash, seizing taking out camshafts.

The engine I'm currently building had that exact problem, the brand new pump that came with the rebuild kit seized

fortunately only chipped one tooth on the cam. Then after that, winter came, car accident, hernia surgery, everything has been on hold ever since that episode.

I've got three that I've pulled out of old engines and I'm going to go with one of those when I get back going on the project.

I would (in my never to be humble opinion) never buy another Melling product in my life.

I picked up a couple of B&B’s at the swap meet the other day and I can’t identify the vehicle(s) they came on. Hoping someone out there can. The numbers are: E6K4 and C6F5. Any ideas?

I have no knowledge of lead paint in vehicles .... not saying it did not happen .... just never heard of it.

You are more apt to find lead in newer, but not current paints.

DP 40 and 401 are metal etching epoxy primers from DuPont about fifteen years ago did contain lead.

Now sold as DP40LF and DP401LF, LF=Lead Free.

By me I used Facebook and Craigs to search for hardwood, sawmilling, oak boards and a few other related searches.

Unfortunately, Colorado is Aspen, Pine, Spruce and Fir, for the most part.

It's even hard to find oak fire wood, at least locally where I am.

    Scrub oak is about it!

I like the idea of treated plywood, for my dulley, I may go that route, was looking at pine,

also no one around with hard woods. Also need 10', not 8.

For the bed strips, after pricing them from the usual suspects, and getting back up off the

floor when I heard the price, I am going with roofing termination bars. It is not a resto, so,

    just to make it useable.
